The Universal Carrier was one of the British Army's most ubiquitous light tracked vehicles during the Second World War. Many models, including the ones shown in this video were built in both New Zealand and Australia during the course of the war. This video shows a procession of 29 vehicles attempted to break a world record (most carriers in one place at one time, operating under their own power, around a track at least two miles long). 27 vehicles finished the course and the previous (Australian) record of 17 was smashed.
