Well I never knew that you could buy just the liners makes sense really, now we just throw every thing away. I once had a bonded liner come of a back wheel on a mark one fiesta in a bend at 40 mph and it locked that wheel up !! it made for some very interesting driving, and that's when you discover that the colour of adrenaline is brown haha. interesting Video Liam.
Donald Bain aye thats the way we done the brakes on the old mini, morris minor, marina cortinas, vauxhall vivas .cf bedford, tk bedford, dodge high line, etc, hilmans ,austin, cambridge.in the late 1970s early 80s before the bonded shoe became available. the bonded shoe took an hour off the job.the brown adrenaline here is called touching cloth.
Where did you get those rivots? I just bought linings for my 9N ford, and most of the holes line up, what do I do for those holes that don't - redrill the shoes? Thanks
in the old days we usta heat the back of the shoe with the gas torch, then with an old wood chisel scrape off the old lining, youll need a good spray mask as the fumes are lethal.the old liners years ago were made of asbestos.
