It is a good tractor like you said good 360' visability and nice and stable when lifting heavy loads with the loader

Aye that tractor had lots of handy features but as it was a demo I didnt bother with looking through the computer

What model was it and how old was it when this happened?

Aye, these new ones are full of electrics and the def is just a pain. we always buy a new or very nearly new tractor as we need something reliable, and buy older ones as a second tractor that we want to get at some point

Is the 5712s 120hp? Massey have always been good reliable tractors

Yes it’s 120hp thinking of changing it in a few years but one of the best tractors we have ever had. We had a new Holland before definitely wouldn’t go back

5000 hours?! How old is it?

Potato it’s nearly 4 years old, we do about 1300-1400 hours per year

The case is 2017 with 2000hrs I know the tractors are in different ranges to each other and the case is older but those were the two tractors I had so I just compered them as those two tractors might be options to farms like they are to us

Aye very true, our local case and Massey dealers are separate businesses and the case dealer is better than the Massey dealer for customer service but at the same time you might aswell get the tractor you want

Yeah the Massey was a bigger and heavier built tractor than the case. Although the case was sat on a set of 34, and the massey was on 38. The massey is still a taller, longer and higher hp tractor. With a much more spacious cab.

Yes it always would bang when the 4WD disconnected while travelling at speed

Are you sure? I've got cab suspension on a 5613 and I thought it just worked off the two springs at the back?? What does the button do??

Aye I've seen the luxxum a few times but never really had a look at it

@@AngusGloverVlogs Yeah Case is a good brand and as any other they make cheap, mid range and premium tractors. Farmall is in that cheap to mid range and Luxxum is a mid range to premium .

Aye I had a look at a case maxxum 125 the other day and it wasn't really my cup of tea but I also drove a case maxxum 150 multi controller and that was a nice tractor, I think case are bringing out the versum In January so maybe have a look at that aswell

That tractor had a dyna 4 gearbox and was on a set of 38tires

The case has just over 2100hrs on it

It would be nice to have both tractors but if we bought the massey the case would have to go, the new john deere 6m looks good but the dealer is just too far away and they dont really cover this area when the massey dealer Is alot closer and is always about if you need something fixed

To be honest I couldn't tell you, I would guess it was out of the one in France

What's wrong with it?

Angus Glover we have had her since January this year. She is very heavy on the steering compared to our tm. The electric spools stopped working. The clutch sensor box stopped working so that it would only be on or off nothing in between. And I don’t know why but she doesn’t have the power that she had when we got her and our dealer can’t find what’s wrong with her. She was bought as the man who owns the farm is in a wheelchair and this was the most accessible cab we could get. There are far to many buttons on it and not enough levers. Everything is controlled by the computer. Power shift box is fine but everything else is too much I find. I would like the tm140 back but that’s not up to me. If you get rid of your farmall you will miss it

Aye, when we first thought about replacing the case we went to the dealer open day and looked at the valtra Nseries and the Massey Ferguson global, but massey have a sale on the 57s just now to get rid of the euro 4 so it's a good time to go for the massey if the price comes back good

Angus Glover just watch ground clearance if going for 34” wheels, massey look very low under the hitch, especially the push out one that works on a chain. I’d stay on 38”, travels over rushy ground much better in my experience

It would be alot better on the 38'' but two of our sheds have very low doors on them so even with putting it down onto 34" were still going to have to alter the roof on one of them to fit it in so really we have no choice but to put it on the 34"

every time i see a valtra going past the farm i shudder cos i think its our old one coming back!

It's good around the yard feeding cattle or doing 2 or 3hrs of field work but it's got shocking electrics along with stuff falling off of it like the rear window and exhaust etc...

Not as good as what most people think

they are but just like that massy its what you want tho pay for if you dont want to pay you get the cheapest version

I got a shot of a 2019 case maxxum cvx and to be fair I actually didn't like it. Others will disagree but that's my opinion. That farmall will be the last case we ever buy new, I think the valtra N series or a Massey 5712s will be the next tractor

Oh ok, that's a demo tractor most likely won't buy that one and go for one with fewer upgrades and around 10hp less to try and keep the cost down

Aye I've never really looked at the new kubota tractors, the old smaller ones are good along with the engines in them. We used to have an old RTV900 that just rotted away past use so after 2 years of sitting outside in the weather I put a battery on it and started first time

Yeah, were doing alot more field work now and putting about 1200 hrs a year on it so were looking for something abit better and enjoyable to drive
