You have always delivered exactly what the potential for the format of a 'RU-vid' could be. You took your channel one step at a time, never trying to leap-frog anyone - or anything. I have mad respect for you brother, and I'm as proud as anyone to have been here early on. You were always our 'best secret'. Can't wait for the new content! Buckle up cowboy, the channel's gonna get quite a bit bigger I think!

Dude: love your avatar picture. Totally stealing it. 30-year San Diegan; still consider it my home town. Went to boot camp there in '73, stationed at IB and North Island; lived all over the county from IB to Nestor, to Chula Wanna; ESD to North Park, Hillcrest, Kensington, Oceanside, Carlsbad, Vista, San Marcos. Hell, the 78 was a 2-lane, back in those days. Oh, and I was on the 805 just before it opened in '75! Good times! Best!

This is what I'd like to see: The *planning*. How you decide what to tackle first, what jobs to do in what order (for some obvious and some un-obvious reasons). Working on a place like that with so many projects can be like spinning plates, but which plates get attention?

Congratulations and best wishes for the future. Regarding endorsements, If you don't look around for the best product for YOU and your needs and purchase the product with YOUR hard earned money, the endorsement thing is dishonest. It contains a conflict of interests. So good for you, the way you approach the topic is honorable.

Great stuff! Very excited to see the transformations upcoming. Love your content. The audio and video quality are very good, and the content is incredibly useful. Your presentation style is relatable and understandable. For the house, one thing I personally am struggling with is how to retrofit things into existing cabinets. Like how to modify a standard cabinet to be a trash can holder. How to add a drawer to an open cabinet. How to add sliding shelves into existing cabinets. So many ideas, but I can't seem to get started on them because I don't want to be in the middle of a retrofit with an unusable cabinet and discover my approach won't work! Bigger challenge idea just on the off chance you have an old fireplace to remove/replace - e.g. I've got an old fireplace that I want to remove (being greener) in front of an ugly brick wall between windows with a TV Cabinet with inbuilt electric fireplace - Though still no idea if there is an actual electric fireplace that is decent/"romantic" enough, and can be used for temporary heating yourself like a 2400W heater (while your heat pump actually heats up) - It gets sort of cold here in Tassie but not Canada cold.

Really excited about the upcoming video series. I just found your channel and one of the 1st videos I watched was baseboard return video from last year. Carpentry is my 2nd career and yea, really excited to see what's next.

Love it. Would be great to see how you repair the drywall and paint from puck light installations in the ceiling. Have some tear out, planning to use spackle, painters caulk, and paint.

Congratulations man! Didn’t realize your sub count got so high. Would be cool to see videos on alternatives to plain drywall, like shiplap or wainscoting or the best way to remove squeaks from sub floor and stairs etc.

I bought RTA cabinets from Cabinet Joint and they were awesome. But those I see behind you look pretty good. Slap granite on top and tile the backsplash and it's ready to sell.

Hmmm just checked out their website, looks like a pretty good company. Thanks for the recommendation.

You pick the design and send them dimensions and they make them. And, if something is delivered broken or wrong, they just send the replacement with no hassle. For a DIY it's a perfect deal, as I can afford high-quality materials and not pay labor to assemble and install @@TheFunnyCarpenter

How was the price?@@weekendwarrior3420

For an average size kitchen with one tall cabinet and an island, walnut raised panel doors/faceframes, solid wood drawers and plywood construction, hardware included, it was about 11K in 2021. I didn't spend too much time shopping, so can't tell if that was a really good price or not. It comes ready to go, you supply a nail gun and wood glue. They also have a lot of videos on how to put them together and how to order, so it seemed like a very respectable company who cares I vaguely recall some local company quoted me that for 20K installed, for particle board garbage. So, I'm just saying, price aside, my experience with them was very satisfactory @@TheFunnyCarpenter
