Pretty exciting, it always makes the wait a bit easier when we get sprinkled reveals every 6-12 months. I'm picturing an idea. First person view (real time), flying high up in the sky through the clouds, and slowly the camera zooms out to reveal more and more of the highwind. I'm thinking keep it simple, no characters, just the highwind to prove the concept of airtravel works. Or for an approach that incorporates some spoilers, the camera pulls back to show the party forming up to take on Ultimate Weapon (that might be expecting a bit too much progress in development though).

Does make you wonder if they’re switched engines or not for part 3 if it’s seemingly running on time. I almost think they can’t too rebirth. It just surpassed so many expectations and had so many big moments I wonder if it’ll struggle to stay on par. Excited to see

Seeing as FF7 OG was released in January 1997, I can still see part 3 releasing in 2027 January in time for the anniversary. So that still tracks.

They haven't revealed the new chapters of First Soldier which I think will be in the middle of the month because most likely we will be getting a Young Angeal added to the roster of playable characters and somewhere in Audrey's post I believe someone asked if Genesis would be there and they were told it was a secret. Also new Cetra lore is now available which is very exciting.

A year from now I expect the name of the game and the cover for part 3 with Zack on it facing the Northern Crater with a clear blue sky above him. Zack will appear heavily in all the promos and trailers but it turns out that you still can't even play him and he only appears in rare cutscenes every 30 hours or so that were cherry picked from to make the said trailers. The game follows OG 95% more or less until Zack warps in for the final battle with Sephiroth. You'll fight a dozen phases of Safer Sephiroth in an Avengers style fight where the whole cast takes turns fighting him and Aerith also magically walks out of a portal and joins in. Genesis never appears though, the Whispers never actually mattered, the different worlds are either gone or irrelevant once Aerith and Zack are back in the main world, and none of the plot holes or plot devices are ever properly explained in the end

Honestly wouldn’t mind them taking a bit longer and releasing at later half of 2027, fix the world traversal, add a jump button maybe, clean up some of the messy texture work, possibly switch to UE5 so they can use the new LOD system to get rid of pop in especially with foliage, if they use TSR with UE5.4 even the performance mode will look cleaner idk just a bit more polish for the final game.

My prediction for the first reveal would’ve been Summer GameFest next year, or the Game Awards. But if I had to guess when the actual game is out I was originally going to say 2027, but if it comes out sooner you won’t hear me complaining about it.

i could see a teaser at the game awards next year similar to rebirth when zack was carrying cloud to midgar though this time it will probably just be cloud and tifa under the highwind cause what else would they show right ? just 2 full mintues of cloud and tifa having sex under the highwind tifa music plays then the camera slowly pans to cid and he says wtf are those two doing under my highwind then the screen goes black thats what i think will happen anyways.
