Massive multi-vortex tornado in Oklahoma - April 14, 2011 

Guys, that footage starting at about 1:08 is the closest I've ever seen to Paul Huffman's historic "twin funnels" tornado photo taken during the 1965 Palm Sunday Outbreak. Paul's photo is probably the most famous tornado ever taken, and the icon of the second-worst wide-scale modern outbreak. Last year I had the pleasure of interviewing Paul and his wife. From my POV, besides capturing some spectacular video, you've also replicated the infamous Midway "twins" (albeit from a different approach).

The inflow wind into the tushka tornado was really strong.

this is crazy!!! about 5 months ago I had a dream about a tornado chase that looked very similar to this video, multi-vortex wedge tornado, tree debris in the road that we were going around, and everything!!

Almost identical setting to the third tornado in Twister, the jumper. Whew!

Oklahoma is clean and green for good reason. Refreshing, exhilarating, frightening. Live, breath, ride the storm.

These guys are awesome; they get excited about about tornado chasing but not to the point where they're completely going nuts and it's obnoxious. Not to mention that all their footage is fantastic as well. Bravo!

Great footage but i would think as soon as the debri that big starts hitting you then your a little too close. The multivortex action was incredible. Thanks for sharing

@cheaner1 it seems at least some wedges are made of multiple vortexes, you just can't always see them as separate

I liked when the first guy said woah at 0:37, only a quarter of the tornado was revealed from the trees yet. that is huge

My mom and dad was stuck in a gas station bathroom during this tornado outbreak by Atoka Oklahoma. Thankful they were okay.

Sad to say, one person did die. Up here in NE Oklahoma, all we had was pretty powerful thunderstorms.

@SBCriss Apparently tornadoes (like earthquakes) can happen anywhere, but they are MOST COMMON in the American Midwest. I want to see one, too. A tornado passed very close to my home, but I was at work. DAMN!!!

I went and saw the high school yesterday. It, along with most of the rest of Tushka, got annihalated

I really wish these storm chasers werent so happy to see the tornadoes. The damage to lives & property far out weigh their temporary documentation.

So far confirmed at least an EF3, wouldn't be surprised to see it bumped to EF4.

Imagine if a sub vortex had it's own sub vortex, lol

They so need to make it mandatory to build renforced basements or cellars in new homes. Alot of lives will be saved from future storms like these.

I never saw a multi- vortex tornado so huge before. It looked like totally separate tornados just circling each other. not part of the same cell. weird. Mother nature is pissed!!!

@stormhorn1 According to the NWS this tornado was a double tornado when it went through the town, but man they replicated the Elkhart/Goshen Indiana Palm Sunday twin tornado. Hard to believe that this past April 11th was the 46th anniversary of that outbreak.

NOAA's stats said EF3 -- This Monster looked really strong..

@cousinbecky Try not to judge them too harshly. Some storm chasers record tornadoes for scientists so that they can anaylze the severity of the storms which could lead to better protection measures in the future.

I dont see anything wrong with enjoying this awesome display if nature's power. It is unfortunate that people may have lost their lives as a result but there is no way to change that. If there werent anyone who were interested in this or enjoyed doing it then we would not have as much information as we do on how tornadoes occur. I feel for those injured and killed in these storms but at the same time im glad they and people like them do what they do, there is nothing wrong with what theyre doing
