my dog wont understand, so I have to lower my food qualities for my self. Hamburger is the best meat I can afford now, no solid meat for myself. I live off Social Security now and I may be forced to stop retirement and go back to work, just to eat. This is how they must except having a vet live and I went to Nam 3 times.

Although Kroger put in another 6 check outs and they usually only man 2 normal registers at high business time the prices have not gone down. I am not a Kroger employee!

It's like this everywhere. No grocery chain is spared now. "Shop around" is taking on a new meaning. Coupons are no longer an option, they're critical. It's straight feast or famine.

I try to buy eggs from the local farmers when I need them. If I’m going to pay that much for them anyway, I’d rather pay someone local and keep the money in the community than pay some big-time faceless company.

Eggs are almost a luxury these days!! I “lucked out”and got 2 dozen at Sam’s for 7.99 which I thought was high. Going to be cutting back.

Vinegar prices have gone way up. It still is really cheap when used for cleaning $3.69 a gallon compared to a small bottle of cleaning spray.

All I know is is that we saw a lot of it disappearing off the shelves there for a while, and then it came back and a much higher price. I don't know why though.

HOCL generator - cleans stuff up great only needs a bit of vinegar 2TBS per 1/2 gallon typically. Just make sure you make HOCl and not bleach the generators typically make both. In the past I have seen them for $50-$200 depending on the size on Amazon. My friend who has tons of allergies to cleaning supplies absolutely found this to be a game changer for her.

I'M HAVING SAME HAPPENING WITH OLIVE OIL AND MAYONNAISE I USE THESE FOR SKIN CARE AS WELL AS FOOD CONDIMENTS. THE PRICES KEEP CHANGING DRASTICALLY

Last week I bought a dozen cage-free brown eggs from Winn-Dixie for $3.99. Can't remember the brand. That was a lot cheaper than the white store brand large eggs.

Yes the eggs are 4-5 dollars in Illinois

@@gailhonadle5182 their gas got too expensive. It's about 10c more than a regular gas station. It does make sense if you have 50c off and more and shop at Kroger a lot. Gas stations these days give you discounts as well.

@@janedowasjanedow Walmart is 3 cents off per gallon, Military base is the highest, We live in a rural area, and Kroger is our nearest store, so it's always higher. 15 miles away it's 10 cents lower. But after you add a 30-mile trip you lost more than you gained. We don't have a Walmart. The town is too small. Hub might fill up if he has to go to the Navy base at Kroger's in the next town, which is double our population. As it was a necessary trip. We are restricted on where our meds are gotten as he is a Ret. Navy 20 yrs service, SCPO. All the Specialist Drs are in Memphis, not a nice safe place. 35+ miles one way. His Glaucoma eye doc is every 6 months, and my thyroid Endo is every 6 months. Gas points are double when you shop Friday. I'm the main driver as his vision becomes less. And I won't drive the Expressway. Kamikaze drivers who shoot at you, and kids throw rocks down on your windshield causing wrecks.

@@janedowasjanedow Just the 4 big blue counties, Memphis is #1 in all crimes. Worst education. It's been that way for 40+ years. They ignore the General Assembly-passed laws, and the Governor. Require most of our tax dollars too. Glad we don't need to go there except for the doctors. They boxed themselves in by trying to annex any area they could, smaller towns, put a stop to that. Now have their own schools. Anywhere they annexed became slum zones. Most places are pretty safe, and beautiful because they are mostly rural.

Not as bad as could have been. Sales still exist. The problem is, people don't want to think. Seems like everyone wants a walking distance store when they can spend very little and buy half of that store. It doesn't work like that especially now.

@@janedowasjanedow so true we’re on fixed income and we just don’t eat out for anything anymore. You just have to think ahead and plan ahead to have food ready when you get home from work or out doing things. You can always plan ahead and have things ready ahead of time.
