There's been massive shipping container progress lately!!!
The walls are IN - the wood-burning stove is IN - the floors are IN!!!! Which means that Max and I can finally hang at the construction site and it's hard to put into words what an incredible feeling it is to finally be spending our days as a family again. Lou gets cozy lunch breaks and Max and I get tons of fresh air. The bedroom container is now the most epic playroom and we couldn't be more excited for the upcoming months. It feels like the shipping containers are transforming in front of my eyes and I just can't wait to share the adventures to come with you.

This was all it was about, to be together in the same space. To allow Lou to have his wife, child and furbaby all together. What an achievement. A warm, cosy home built by daddy. The way Max looks at his dad is just so heartwarming and watching him scoot about on the floor was adorable. That hug with Dana said it all. ❤ Wishing you all love and health ❤

Lou, you're quite the renaissance man! The development of your vast skillsets to achieve the goals you set is so stinking admirable. Dana, motherhood looks great on you! Looks like Max is almost ready to walk. I remember the day my son started walking. He never practiced. He just stood up one day and started walking. 3 days later he was running. He was 13 months old. ❤❤❤

looks so good Lu, you analyze every thing, I am curious as to why you chose to Not put wood stove kitty cornered towards the corner and do a round pad for it to sit on. We did this to have better access to the loading and cleaning and it was simple to gate off with small children. Our thoughts were practical reasons we thought and we could sit back in the room and enjoy the ambience of the flame through the door.

Whilst I have not yet finished watching the video (oh how I love long-form content on YT from my favourite creators, thank-you for this!!), I just wanted to say here in this very run-on sentence that there ought to be a word in the English language that describes the feeling one gets when they live in the wilderness and are all snuggled down in their cozy home enjoying the internal essence derived from simple living in the outdoors. Does this word exist? Am I missing it? Let me know if you’ve got a handle on this word, cuz this wilderness gal from the PNW of northern 🇨🇦 really needs this word in her vocabulary. This morning I promised myself I’d finish my housework, and I am going to this video as a 🥕 to complete the tasks at hand so I can then relax and delight in ‘the reveal’ of the bedroom shipping container. It must be so satisfying to see all your dreams, plans, and hard work finally coming to fruition. Thanks for all your great videos… they really resonate with me and I can 💯 relate to your lifestyle. The only big diff is that we are older (I’m closing in on 60 and my partner is 62)… but age is irrelevant anyways. Thanks again, and let’s hope winter is on it’s way out soon!! Ⓜary🇨🇦💕

So maybe I missed it, but since you insulated the place so well; did you consider the Carbon monoxide buildup/poisoning? I have no experience with it, only heard terrifying lectures. It looks like you're skipping insulation behind the wood burning stove. You know they make an insulation for around fireplaces that won't catch fire. You might want to consider insulting the part of the wall behind the stove. I imagine it would make heating the container more efficient.
