I can’t imagine having to see the master chief for the first time after hearing all the stories about him only to see him tower above everyone like a giant
Truly heartbreaking. He was raised as a soldier since childhood, not allowed freedom of expression, endured grueling training, experimental surgeries and suicidal missions one after another for years, to lose your only friend like that at the end is brutal. At the end, when his helmet is removed, you see how he has aged and how he's literally had nothing but a life of war.
Truly a haunting ending scene that stabs my heart. Being there from day one with combat evolved all through this entire franchise to this ending choked me up pretty good. When will they do a movie that's worthy of chiefs amazing journey
That's what we don't understand about our serving soldiers, both those who serve and those who have served, when we need them they are our hero's, then we forget them and what they have sacrificed for our freedoms, we call ourselves humans but in many ways we are less.

Chief standing there motionless once Cortana leaves, you can feel the pain behind that armour of his. Brilliant campaign as always, looking forward to see what Infinite brings. 👍
Jen Taylor and Steve Downes really knocked it out the park with the voicework on this, chief felt so broken, so desperate, Cortana felt so sad, so bittersweet. Damn say want you want about halo 4 but they hit the feels hard with this game. We saw noble team with no time to morn, Johnson broken and ready for his death at the loss of miranda. A few touching words from Arbiter for the late Seargent. But this is the first time the fighting truly stopped and chief was left to soak in how much he's lost. The first time facing a foe he has no idea how to fight, overwhelming grief. So he runs...
Halo 4 was a special game. Great storyline, epic action, and it actually looked like effort went into both campaign AND multiplayer. I could not say that for 5
@@aexonity the loot crates and a lot of the good weapons were tied to them with cards u can buy I remember u can use a card that gave u the halo CE pistol and u could use it for one game only
Alot of people were salty after Halo 4. So they killed him off on a comic book. But I agree, at least should've been ultimately Halo 5 antagonist and not Cortana.
@@Kintizen Yes, they humiliatingly missed the mark with H5. There was so many more story lines that would have followed H4 so much better than what they chose.
Halo storytelling has been inconsistent and incoherent after the perfect trilogy. 343 just doesn't get it. Just like in latest Installment Halo Infinite they destroyed the Infinity the greatest ship humanity ever built and also kill Lasky , Locke Cortana and Halsey off-screen And brought in a nagging crying character of some random pilot. Give a exposition dump towards the ending that made no sense. Made a meh of a game. It is only popular because people have gone very long without a new Halo game.

In the audio logs you can see that characters like Lasky survive and escape, Locke and Hasle are still not confirmed death, and Esparza (the new character) had a good character development in Infinity, from a civilian who wants to escape to a pilot who is willing to fight the enemy
@@JohnDoe-zj6xf it was a good tactic. 4-5 banished dreadnaughts (Each are similar sized to the infinity with Forunner shielding) the also took the infinity from the sides. So to not let the macs come into play.

The original spartan program by doctor halsey had minimal restrictions with the augmentation started out on children, hence spartan 1&2's being much taller than spartan 3&4's which was unsc sanctioned but had limitations since those going thru the augmentation were already adults.

Halsey is like a mother to John , considers him as his son, she made Cortana on based her own personality and memories . then John and Cortana like to fancy each other. Vomit.
Damn. I haven't even played the game and this has got me feeling emotional. Poor Chief. What a life to lead. He's been a slave, in a sense. And yet, he's our only hope. Also, it makes me feel a bizarre longing and false nostalgia to hear the Didact talking about humanity as near-equals, the way we were thousands and thousands of years ago. It makes me long for what our race used to be . . . and what we could've been today if not for what the Forerunners did to us. Damn.
9:43 I have never understood why the animators made Palmer so small in this cutscene like she's not even an augmented super soldier at all. They are both standing on the same level with the only difference being Palmer isn't wearing a helmet. Palmer is 6'9 and Chief is 7'0 with armor (6' 10" without) . It's only a 3 inch difference, but this footage shows over a foot to a foot and a half difference.
@@rickrolledbitch1941 I looked up his height in documented lore; he is not "like 7'5" and never was near being that tall. All the Librarian did was activate his dormant genes that were hidden in his DNA. It had nothing to do with altering his height. Also, his suit and armor don't magically grow (the devs created the absurd excuse storyline of "nanobots" updating his suit during his cryosleep between 3 & 4 to cover for the aesthetic change they wanted to make). If the suit was capable of being a self-molding one-size-fits-all, the body suit and armor would not need to be personally tailored to each spartan beforehand, something that is a well-known fact of the Spartan Project.

Never played the game but enjoy the cutscenes immensely. This version of Cortana is stunning. Halo 5’s version is a visual disappointment. Wonder what Halo 6 will bring.
For me the forerunners were boring. Like when he started force choking chief I really thought 343 lost their touch with the halo universe itself. Felt like starwars.
The Didact seemed cool, but barely any screentime & he died like a chump (haven't played 5). The forerunners were terrible in H4, from a gameplay perspective. They felt like a nuisance more than anything.
Is so sad seeing master chief getting his heart broken when he lost Cortana not only once but twice in halo 4 and halo 5 when she is evil so sad seeing chief heart broken ngtl watching your hero get heart broken is worst than seeing them die tbh.

He’s a Spartan II, an actual super soldier. The “newer” Spartans are just enhanced humans and nowhere near as extensively modified as he and his generation were.
"The reclamation, has already begun. And we are hopeless to stop it." Great quote. It also sets up what should have been for Halo 5. It should have been called "Halo Reclamation" instead of Halo Infinite. It just makes more sense.
I blame the fans who complained for ruining Halo. This story is amazing and Halo 5 despite the lies it was a great continuation of this story and it was truly going places. (Btw the opening cutscene to Halo 5 is FANTASTIC) With infinite 343 rebooted everything and it’s as if none of this matters at all. Truly hurts me.
