MASTER PRO 44 SERIES PAINT GUN REVIEW 

What size tips would you recommend for a sealer, then base (pearl or metallic) and then clear? I have never painted a car before but was thinking the 1.4 on the sealer (non high build, no body work is needed) and 1.4 on the base with the 1.3 on the clear. Plan on running the gun at 25-30psi depending on how it sprays with the different materials and tips.

The best gun for metallics is the DV1 base gun in my opinion. Teckna base coat or GTI pro light would be my second option .

I recommend having separate guns for each coating. However if you decide to use it with multiple coats use it for sealer base and clear. No primer.

Sorry for the late reply. I was using a 3M regulator.

I use a 1.4 in my supernova 1.2 in my sagola. But yes I mostly use the 1.3. 1.5 1.8 for primer

Did metallics clog it?

@@Dillon1791 no, its 1.3 tip. But i didnt like how it sprayed metallics which is why i used it for clear only

@dogemcmoon9644 the gun kit on Amazon comes with a 1.3, 1.4, 1.5 and a 1.8 tip now. I'll probably use the 1.8 for the sealer, 1.4 for my metallic/ pearl base and 1.3 for the clear then. I got the PPS adapter and the 200 micron PPS 28 ounce cup kit too.

@@Dillon1791 id still use 1.3/1.4 for sealer since its alot thinner than 2k primer, other than that it sounds like ur ready to go

@@mariopaintclass6091 Mr.Mario, I recently bought the Master Pro 88 series paint gun. It comes with three tips: 1.3, 1.4, and 1.8. The 1.3 is in the gun automatically. I took the 1.3 off to put the 1.8 in for the primer and the 1.3 tip screw has some rust in the screw threads. Further inspection of the gun chamber shows signs of rust oxidation as well. The gun is spanking new, so there should be no signs of rust at all. Please advise Mr. Mario on this rust situation with this new Master Pro 88 gun.

@@MochiBambi noted. I have the 44 series not the 88.a new gun should not have any rust I would send it back if it was me.

Thanks Peter👍 comparing the two would make a great video. The only difference you probably would notice is the material usage, the widow doesn’t do a good job at that keep it around 23 to 28 psi for more control, but they are two great budget guns that can be used daily. Please let me know how the job comes out when you do it.

You need at least a 20 gallon. 1.3 and 1.4 should be sufficient

@@mariopaintclass6091 even if it’s just small parts and areas, such as wheel caps, that a minimum of 20 gallons is needed? Anything smaller just isn’t enough? Thx

Which one is better at atomization the paint

I would choose this gun over the 3m. However the 3m gun is more versatile. But quality wise the the master pro is better.

I drop the pressure for clear to 26 psi. Reason being is that it’s flat panels which means I’ll less likely to get a run. While increasing the longevity adding more clear. Because these panels are usually the first to fade.

How many cfm?

Are you referring to cfm or psi? If it’s either one of these you can use a 20 gallon compressor and still get sufficient air flow.

@@edwinluna8336 hey man the master pro consumes 16.5 cfm. You’re compressor is not big enough, but should be ok tho as long as it’s two or three panels. You’ll start to notice your pressure dropping the longer you spray.
