In this video, Master Wanxing shares with us:
(1) There are five ways that we can acquire the universal energy;
(2) There are two systems inside ourselves; and
(3) The relationship between and the step for merging with the universal energy and achieving the stage of non-"self".
Note1: 道 (Eng. path; Skt. mārga, Ch. dao) is also commonly translated as the “way.” Unless the specific part within the five-path schema is identified, the term “path” generally refers to the path or way to awakening (Skt. bodhi) from the perspective of the Small Vehicle or full enlightenment from the perspective of the Great Vehicle (Skt. Mahāyāna). “Path” with a capitalized “P” refers to the path to awakening or full enlightenment in Buddhist teachings and “path” to refer to the generic meaning of “route,” footpath,” “trail,” etc.
Note2: In Chinese, the idiom “五穀雜糧wugu zaliang” literally means the five crops - including millet, wheat, grain, soybean, and corn - and mixed grains. This idiom is used to refer to food in general.
Note3:
"Qi 氣" is the Chinese character meaning “air,” “material force,” or “vital energy.”
"Qi Gong 氣功" is a traditional Chinese isotonic exercise that aims to regulate and improve the vital energy in one’s body.
Note4: According to Buddhist cosmology, the world is divided into three realms: Desire Realm (Skt. kāmaloka), Form Realm (Skt. rūpaloka), and Formless Realm (Skt. ārūpyaloka).
