That makes my day. Thank you. Good luck. And remember …-don’t be afraid to ask WHY (curiosity).

I especially liked the reference of staff who could be officious through aggressiveness vs assertivness

Excellent breakdown, you have provided an excellent workshop to help the new officers navigate our chosen profession. It also provides a path, the Right Path for them to choose, and keep themselves, and there brother and sister officers, and the facility safe. Keep up the Excellent work Brother

33:05 I know this is for corrections, but as an LEO this point is great. I almost failed field training because of this. I couldn’t get out of my head about a mistake that really wasn’t that big of a deal.

My concern is …if your strong sense of self comes from how other people may feel about you and then you then acting on it….maybe a bigger issue. But with that said, it did come from a supervisor at a time when you are new and vulnerable. Have you tried explaining your concern to the HR team.

I'm starting at a 900+ population facility coming from 6 years working a 160-180 inmate facility. Even with my years and my time as a supervisor, it's a bit intimidating. Any advice?

Be you. Trust in that experience. There are many that have probably entered that facility with no experience. So I think of it as you having a Headstart. Trusting yourself. Trusting what you have learned. And just grow from there.
