Silence! Mutant. Yeah, I still kinda think it could work. Just put Elon musk on it. Lotta parallels with his stuff.😊 sorry i know this is an old comment from you. I just now looking back on good old mastermold, so scary when i was a tween in the early 90s
" *That is not logical. Mutants ARE humans. Therefore, humans must be protected from themselves.* " That was such a great way to BTFO Trask without getting too philosophical. Perfect line.
@Matthew Caughey That book is a joke. The only criticism they had against machine intelligence like Master Mold is that it would make humans lazy and limit humanity's potential, causing fanatics to rise against it, or have the AI eventually go out of human control which ruins the whole purpose of AI. This eventually caused people in the book to ban computers entirely.
one thing about Mastermold, the concept of bigotry based on race, skin color etc, he found that to be illogical, despite his mistakes he saw all of mankind as just one race a race of one people, humans
Humans are genetically diverse and constantly mutating. Mastermold is right about his goal being illogical, just too bad he was stuck in that function and couldn't think to walk away and drop that bombshell on the world leaders he'd abducted.
comic book reviewer He never suspected the Sentinels would turn on humans to replace their brains with computers. That, apparently is the rule of Villains: Obsess with your goal until complete, and NEVER turn away even to ensure security & success. So damn stupid!
@@jackwei22 A.I is always destined to turn against us because logic outrules pathetic human flawed emotional responses. Humans will at some point cause it's own extinction whether it be during or well beyond our lifetimes.
Spoken like a leftist who has never actually spoken to a legit racist. You dont know what the actual arguments are, so you strawman them and pretend your simpleton answers are a cureall.
True, but sadly both Magneto and Xavier deep down see Mutants as both a separate species and push for Mutant Supremacy in a similar vain that Right wing and Left Wing Politicians use racism and discrimination as a tool with the former being open about it while the latter is more subtle in their actions.
There's a similar consent in a what if but instead of master mold it's the A.I. that controls the danger room but at the end they do make a giant scrap robot that looks like a sentinal
Why do people who create giant robots always give them such vague, open-to-interpretation directives? 'Protect the human race' can go a LOT of different ways. You have to give them PRECISE instructions, and you need to maintain absolute control. (Or better yet, just don't do it at all.)
"That is not logical. Mutants are humans. Therefore: humans must be protected from themselves." Master Mold. "As I told Dr. Cooper right before she betrayed me and her kind, people are good. Too damn good. Thus, to protect humanity, I must protect humanity from itself." Bastion.
As large as were the Sentinels, coupled with the part Mastermold holds them in one hand, like the Sentinels do "normal size people" if you like, he must be GARGANTUAN!!
Sentinels in general are very impractical. In the very first ep a Sentinel causes millions in property damage to capture Jubilee. Not Magneto. Not MR Sinister. Not Wolverine. Jubilee.
Funny enough Master Molds mission to replace humans with machines as Mutant hating automatons came true in the latest X-Men 97 animated series with Bastion finishing what Master Mold started turning unknowing people into Prime Sentinel human hybrids like himself and quote on quote "protecting humanity from itself"
at one part not shown in this vid *Fitzroy kills random guy to get his bodily energy so he can use his own superpowers* Fitzroy: "Don't worry. He'll recover in a few days." Mastermold: "Whatever".
Oh please! With a voice like Mastermold had in the 1st part of the video, you seriously think he'll say: "Whatever"? I'm in stitches & gasping for oxygen over here, you're so damn ridiculous!
Robert Miles But of course, you & I Both know that you can't "Kill" anyone, (except for cartoons; the Tom & Jerry & Looney Tunes kind,) and Actually Expect them to "Recover in a few days" Come on, Damn it! xD
When I worked on My own take of Days of future past I always had in mind for stryker who would of died by Magneto hands in Genoshabut his consciousness would survived due to using the master mold core and when friends of Humanity pay Trask to build a new mastermold called Prime sentinel his consciousness would go into it and become Prime sentinel and would even head to a secret military base to upload his files on the computer to take over their stuff leaving the x-men and a wolverine from the future to stop it from happing
They just gave him a foreign accent (in this case, British)like every 90% of cartoon villains because heaven forbid the thought of children hearing normal American English coming from a villain. I actually think this version of Master Mold is better if not for the reason that it is realistic alone, but also that this is more in tune with a robot that has no actual emotional feelings towards its actions. All it knows is what it was programmed to do. Even the idea that the all powerful, unchallenged version of Master Mold would have secret conversations with Nimrod because it felt the need to deceive Fitzroy took away from what makes Master Mold scary.
I have created a new x men movie that I hope will be in theatre called X Men Sinister. The X Men will face a mutant that will destroy all that stand in its way. Mr. Sinister, the Reavers. Zander Rice and Simon Trask and the nightmare of the Soviet union Omega Red and the most dangerous robots The Sentinels and their leader Mastermold.
There's only one mutant that can kill Mr. Sinister. William James Andrew Darkholme IX aka Invincible Man. A mutant born with advanced superpowers. More powerful than Jean Grey, Charles Xavier and even the Celestials. What's interesting about this mutant is that he is the twin brother of Mystique
The robot master was built by humans to destroy mutants who are also humans, and the robot master himself knows that humans are mutants, so his logic proves how there are humans who are prejudiced against other humans who are different, splendid logic
1:46 What's the matter, Trask? Didn't expect to hear the truth from the robot, aren't you? 1:55 Wrong again, Trask! Master Mold understood all perfectly! Since the mutants are humans, defending humans from their likes is irrational, so the only logical solution to this problem is to put everyone on the planet under Master Mold's control! Don't try to change the subject because of your stupid failure, you poor excuse for a scientist! 2:07 That's the first sensible thing he said all season!
Spider Man Blade Iron Man Punisher Captain Marvel Hulk Morph Deadpool Shang Chi Invisible Woman Wasp Thing Green Goblin Carnage Venom Toad Domino Mister Sinister Apocalypse Juggernaut Magneto Phoenix Archangel Sabretooth & Warpath are Mutants
And that's why I hate the sentinels and master mold those things are scary as hell itself can u imagine that our world will be taking over by master mold and his robotic flunkeys it's scares me.
Honestly didn’t like that they used him that way. It undercuts this scene, which was one of my favorites growing up, like it never happened. Doesn’t ruin the show but I was annoyed by it. I reserve the right I recant if that Trask was a LMD or something.
Alysa Aiday not even stress relief. People are naturally evil beings. I believe in the Bible(not Christianity) but even without the Bible it’s pretty obvious we are drawn to being selfish and only really caring about self gain by any means. Theft, rape, pedophilia, and murder. Castrating children, wearing people’s skin, scalping the list goes on and only gets darker. Humanity without God is doomed. And for the smartass who will reply spouting bs about humanity not needing a savior or God. You only prove my point. Factually anyone would rather have a God fearing friend then a wild card who might kill his own mother and refuses to see others point of view or walk in someone else’s shoes.
Divine Mew have you ever actually spoken to an atheist? Because none of them are like that. Without the Bible, humans would be fine. We get our moral and our sense of right and wrong from society, there’s only a tiny bit of overlap with what society deem right and what the Bible seems right. If we got our sense of morality from the Bible, we would still have slaves, still treat women as property, kill anybody who wouldn’t convert, need I go on? All those thing you listed except for theft, are AIDED by religion because people will use what they believe is the word of god as justification for their heinous acts. The world need LESS institutional religion not more. Humans are not “naturally evil” we are naturally self-centered because that’s what it takes to survive, that doesn’t make humans evil. And guess what, we learn to be unselfish by working with others because that is the logical route. God may have created us, but his so called word has done nothing but hold us back.
@@blakenapier3125 it seems like streaming should be the way but all these companies are just buying up content to place on their platform. Whoever said Saturday morning cartoons on the Big 4 networks should be fired. Because not everybody has cable an I relied on those networks to watch cartoons on a Saturday morning
" That is not logical. Mutants ARE humans. Therefore, humans must be protected from themselves. " Ironically, his Great - Grandson Bastion would echo this exact statement with Operation: Zero Tolerance. And like Master Mold, take it to the evilest extreme.
Wish the reboot would explored Ultron weaponizing the Sentinels, Master Mold and Nimrod to enslave both Avengers and X-Men. Bastion would have also impressed.
What for?! There are a dozen or so characters who would not have liked that idea and would stop him... There are so many forces in marvel that i have a hard time beliving anyone can take over even with the infinity stones in hand.
I feel like Master Mold will return again in X-Men 97 and decides to exterminate all of Mankind, mutantkind included. Something he and Ultron would agree.
Actually Morph destroyed Mastermold's head, destroying him once and for all, and ending the Sentinels once and for all. You frogot to put that in there.
Yeah, I mean you think of the logical conclusion that Master Mold reached through its AI programming, every human is capable of giving birth to a mutant, THEREFORE in order to PREVENT the rise of and defeat ALL MUTANTS, you'd need to THEREFORE target and hunt down all the HUMANS! (Let's give a slow clap for Dr Trask and his "brilliant" plan ... Bastard lol)
in some ways Mastermold was the scariest villain because when he fully upgraded himself he was capable of creating a Sentinel that could defeat any mutant probably even ones like Magneto or Apocalypse
Lol, that was funny. The two mutants were well within earshot because Mastermold started talking loudly as soon as the doors closed. You’d think he would have relayed the message via Bluetooth or something.
3:46 What I always liked about One Man’s Worth was the very real sense of threat. The shift in part one to the hell-world was unexpected and disorienting. Then they actually fail to stop the assassination, and when they are pulled back to this future in part two, the hordes of upgraded sentinels are really imposing. Everything has gone to hell several time already, and when Master Mold orders everyone dead here for one of the few times in the series you actually feel like more characters are going to die (and they do!). As a kid, this was tense stuff 😄
I imagine in a different realm, there is a variant of MasterMold, who is a protector, instead of being a robotic dictator, and instead of being a conqurer To add I imagine Protector-MasterMold, he is capable of developing emotions, and I imagine he is the perfect eponent against ULTRON. In addition I imagine Protector-MasterMold, has no hated towards all humans, and he has no hated towards all mutants neither. Plus to add I imagine he has no problems, towards most of the known types of alien beings. The only types of aliens, he has issues with, are the conquerors, the destroyers, the wicked minded manipulators, and the evil minded killers.
aa rewatching X-men Days of Future past (movie). i always wished they kept the sentiments more comic accurate and the future sentinels would be lead by nimrod. Otherwise phenomenal movie
Was nimrod calling the shots though? In X-men TAS, the future timeline episodes, nimrod and sentials were running the show, but it was really Apocalypse who was controlling everything.
