Are the 4 RGB channels on the controller recognized by Auros or do you control the whole system on 1 channel by going through the MB?

Thanks for the comment! Yes you’re correct. My controller is connected to the mobo by both usb and by argb header. 👍🏼

I Have a B450M asus gaming MOBO and it has only a RGB Header port, but my FANs and my Memory Cards are ARGB so this is my idea, 1 - buy the ARBG Controller 2- connect my fans through the 3-PIN ARGB ports of the controller 3 -connect my MOBO to the 4-PIN RGB Header port of the controller And then control them using the AURA Sync software. If I do so, will I be able to control everything through the aura sync? And also be able to use ARGB Colors on both FANs and memorys?

In theory yes that should work. I have everything connected to an argb header and I’m still given the option to control the rgb headers on the controller. If you just set everything to “motherboard control” then your aura sync should control everything.

As a test before buying a pin header adapter, I connected the controller via a normal USB Type A to Micro USB Type B cable. From the controller to the front USB ports of my case. I installed the latest MasterPlus software but it doesn't detect the controller.

if i only connected it via usb will i still be able to control the CM product via my mobo Asus Aura ..? it is because my mobo is Asus B350f Strixx only have 12v 4 pin RGB Header...hope you can clarify me in this matter.. tq..

Trying to make sure of something. You have the RGB controller connected to the motherboard through USB and AuraSync still recognizes it? I saw in multiple places that Aura wouldn't recognize it unless you used a 3-pin ARGB header, and i thought i would have to use both Masterplus and Aura.

Hey. Great video. All make sense, I have te same problem and i know this is a old video but do you recall did you install the sofwear before or after connecting all the fans coz i cant even install the softwears od asus sync and the cm softwear say i dont have anything connected ? Thanks

i have mine on mother board control, yet when i use aura sync it doesnt... well sync? the only thing that changes is the asus logo? i have a asus rog strix b450-f. have i maybe set something up wrong whilst building my pc? because my coolmaster plus software also doesnt look like that :/ i just want everything sync'd nicely :(

I've set the controller's aRGB headers to be controlled by the motherboard, but aura sync doesn't see it? I see the addressable headers which I'm assuming would be what I'm looking for, but it doesn't control them.

The MasterFan PWM hubs I have my 9 fans hooked up to dont have the USB headers. Only the JARGB_V2 pins. What do.

So can it detect both fans attached via a control hub/usb, AND fans attached directly to the argb hub? I have 3 RGB fans with the hub but just got the aRGB 360mm fan set which can't attach to the hub but CAN attach to the argb header on my mobo. It'd be great if I can control all of it with one software.

Have you solved noice problem with 360R ? Mine works like a car. I just bought this, but I already want to get rid of it. One more question, I'm using MSI dragon center to control the argb, but rainbow affects does not work. This product is doing very bad for me so far. I appreciate for the answer. Thank you.

Thanks man! Ill Definately get the software and give it a try..adding some halo fans and got rgb mixed with halo argb and the 3 that came with my same pump as u have ..get my ram and tear into it all and do some rewiring :) thanks again !

I have h500m case, website says that it is compatible however when I start the program it says no compatible devices found =( I'm using the RGB controler (the ones that comes with the case) connected to mother board 3 pin ARGB connector to try to manage RGB

Thanks heaps for this video, just one question, I can use all my cooler master products fine within Masterplus, but the motherboard option doesn't seem to do anything, I have a Z3-90 mothboard so I also run Armoury Crate, but can't seem to get Armoury Crate to take control of my cooler master products, which is a shame because I would love everything to be synced up. Any thoughts? thanks in advance.

I’d look at updates for drivers for your mobo maybe. Also make sure you have “addressable rgb header” checked where it shows all your lighting devices in Armoury Crate.

Will check that out, also one other question, when I download the firmware update for my ARGB controller, all my cooler master stuff turns blue, and I can't change it whatever I do, be it through MasterPlus or Armoury Crate, have you heard of this before?

Hey there, I just wanted to ask if you have any type of fix for the "not recognized" when plugging it in the ARGB header. (I have only one USB 2.0 header, B450-F Gaming II motherboard, so I would basically have to give up my 2 front ports) and also it's the small controller (I got it with my MA410M). Does the software version maybe matter? It's on the supported products list. Thanks. :)

I also have the mini controller with only a square button and I think you need a different controller with usb connection to plug into motherboard to use master plus. I’m trying to figure out with the cm A1 controller works for master plus

Can anyone help me? I don’t know why but when I open the program mine look different mine doesn’t show all the fans like yours do. It used to until I downloaded the new version of master plus. And now no matter what I press the colors don’t change I can’t do anything.

Hello, I downloaded the software and the firmware at least a million times, checked that the cables were well wired, everything is fine but when I'm on masterplus, it says me "please check product connection" Could you help me please?

Hey how do you get all 9 fans onto the argb controller? i used the 5 way splitter, which the ML360R takes up 4 slots on , but my other 6 fans do i need to plug them into the small argb controller that comes with the 3-pack of MF120R and somehow connect the small argb controller to the main controller that comes with the ML 360R? I'm so confused on how to get all 9 fans in masterplus to customize. any help would really be appreciated!

I have my fans daisy chained off of each other. Even the ML360R. I have that whole system using 1 argb header on the controller. So essentially I tried to divide up all my argb stuff between those 4 headers on the controller. I personally separated it based on location in my case.

I have ML120r I am struggling on this issue for a year now... I followed exactly what you did and I got no light when I select mobo on the CM Software... do I have to press a combination on the controller to get it sync with aura sync?

I didn’t have to do that so I would assume no. I would recommend double checking your connection from the controller to the mobo header. And making sure all your mobo drivers are up to date. I do think the CM argb controller could be a bit glitchy because that same controller also causes my colors to mess up.

My guess would be using your mobo rgb software and making sure that header on the mobo is selected. I don’t use aura sync because I could never get it to work with mine so that’s why I use armory crate.

i bought thsi controller because my motherboard doesnt have a 3 pin rgb connector. so the controller is plugged into usb into the board. i select the right fans, but i cant controll it right. the fans are always red, no matter which color i chose

@@boriskamenik6263 I figured out a fix for this. Go into your files and find the rgb controller and update the driver or firmware.

bro, i ditched the controller, we are using the same mobo, so i split my fans for both argb headers on my b550e, but before i did i made sure i updated my fans from the software masterplus provided. now the only hiccup i have is when i select white from armoury crate, 3 fans on the front of my case turn orange... soooo RIP, i gave up on white.

@@cousindan434 I don’t know if you have an MSI motherboard, but basically i just use MSI mystic light and it works for pretty much all of my RGB things in my PC. The only thing that it doesn’t work for is my RAM and my graphics card which I use Corsair iCue for, which is not too bad.

I set up the lights on my rgb mouse (Cooler Master MM720) but the settings I put on it do not "take effect" unless I boot up Masterplus. Does anyone have a solution to this? I want my mouse to immediately have its rgb settings at the moment I boot up my PC.

I am not sure, but you could probably set windows to automatically start Master+ before you log in. Probably not inmediat after boot.

Masterplus Software Version 1.01 I have a problem. 1. When opening a program, it will not work until it is updated first. 2. When the software is updated, there will be no Lighting effect and Lighting mode to be adjusted.

The Masterplus software 0.0.831 works fine, but the most recent ones I've tested are just jokes: 1.01 doesn't find anything, 1.2.2 just doesn't work but the lights effects from the Cooler Master MasterFan MF120 Halo ARGB are simply wonderful, so don't upgrade from the 0.0831 version of the Masterplus software, it doesn't recognize the MF120 Halo but it manages it so it's fine

This is another instace of manufacturers refusing to play with each other hoping it will allow them to capture a market share. We as consumers are probably 10 years behind in de-facto technology due to manufacturers not adopting standards. The smart home market is the same way. Its a shame.
