Thank you for the review. I may be the minority, but I absolutely LOVED Revelation. But for those who didn't, thank you for encouraging them to watch Revolution. I've seen it twice already (soon to be 3 times) and I think it's the greatest MOTU story ever seen or told.
I liked the 2nd part of Revelation. Watching Savage He-man beating Skeletors ass around was great!! The first part had its faults, but over all, it wasn't terrible. Revolution however was amazing!! Let's hope they can keep up the momentum, and make the next part epic!!!
I absolutely hated revelation...until I rewatched it. I think the problem was that it was broken up into parts. As a whole, you may be right. The story is amazing. And I did not cry in revolution during that part....
Didn't like 'Revelation 'but LOVED this! This felt like MOTU to me. Felt like a movie, that was broken up into 5 pieces but can easily be watched in one sitting. The momentum just kept powering along and I fricken' loved it. My kids did too. My favourite scene in 'Revelation' was when He-man took down that giant shadow beast and this whole series gave me that level of excitement. Little things like He-mans voice sounding deeper and more commanding, loved Teelas snake armour look and the almost anime like final episode, loved Granamyr, the whole thing was bananas (but in a good way), just as MOTU should be.
Some of my favorite geek moments are when Granamyr had his helmet on in battle . As soon as I first saw him on screen, I was disappointed because he didn't have it. That is too iconic for his character to have been missing. It made sense the way they finally included it. The other moment is when Skeletor/tek pulled the other Titans from underground, and one of them was the MONSTROID. I never had that as a kid but always wanted it.
I loved Revelation and I have to say that I missed the slower momemts of the first series which allowed for deeper character developement. But since 90% of the fandom protested against it, I understand why Revolution was made more in the style of a video game walk through. I was particularly disappointed by the fact that no substantial background information is given about Hordak. He is suddently there and apart from repeating how pleased he is with motherboard and a couple of flashbacks where he's training Skeletor, he doesn't say much. Granted, the series is geared towards an odience that knows who Hordak is, but for that matter we know who He-man is as well, but we like to have the same good old story retold, over and over again with the addition of some new elements. I hope we'll get to see more of Hordak's world and mythology in the continuation teased at the end. Anyway, even if not my favourite part, Revolution cannot be missed by a MOTU fan, and we have to support the series if we want more. Some fans have a really toxic attitude in the way they express their criticism and the way they target creators and developers as if they were personally offended. This is meant to be fun, and even when not all of your wishes materialise in the series, that doesn't change the fact that it's got potential for entertainment - if you're able to calm down your overly frustrated inner child and enjoy the good parts of it. Hopefully we'll see more in the future, and I really hope they'll be longer than 5 episodes.
Need an 80s crossover with Thundercats and Voltron in the mix to bring in more universes together. Lotor can be Skeletor and Evil Lynn's secret son. An Battle Cats breed is really from Thundera. This could make a great 80s crossover and action figures would sell like crazy if they do it right.
It was damn good. I'm so glad they got a real life couple for Teela and Adam. It really comes through. It reminded me of the Super-girl and Mon-El romance. Animation was really great. I felt they were able to tell the story they wanted to tell and leave room for more. If they can find a clever way of incorporating a redemption arc for the Force Captain of the Horde, that could be an interesting Season 3.
I said exactly the same thing on my review!!! I am on the side that revelation was a horrible show. And even though I hated it I was still going to watch this show. And I am extremely happy I did. It definitely well worth the watch!!!🎉
I'm with you. Was in no hurry to see this new one. wasn't sure if I was going to . But did.. With the fear they would push more topics of "today". That favors a minority group of ideas/ situations etc. I think they made the right move to back off.
I LOVED it... and I had issues with Revelation... it made me appreciate Revelation. But Revolution was clearly superior to the previous installment. The voice acting was better, the story was better and had a way more exciting pace... the turn Skeletor's story took made me happy and I felt like they fixed his narrative. The Animation, like Revelation, was outstanding and beautiful. The whole package is a knock out of the park!! Bring on 'Resolution" lol
I loved Revelation. I thought it was a good story. Now after watching Revolution, I look back and realize Revelation was a necessary story for Teela that led into her ultimate transformation. So I look at Revelation with a lot more appreciation. And Revolution was just incredible.
The second part of Revelation was alright, I kind of enjoyed aspects of it. This one was absolutely amazing. Lets hope we get a redemption of She-Ra, knowing who Dispara is.
Caught it last Sunday. I never found the King He-Man or Sorceress Teela thing compelling, am not particularly invested in an Adam/He-Man Teela romance, and wasn't a big fan of Revelation 😂🤷🏿♂️. From that starting point this easily could've been a Skip(though his not taking the throne lined up with my view). But I enjoyed Revolution. I can't say it was just a matter of being "pleasantly surprised" or "exceeding expectations" though. It was kinda like the adjustment made to the knees for the female Origins figures or the Face-Sculpt on the extra He-Man head packed in with Oo-Larr in Classics. A better approach that could've been taken from Jump. I did have my criticisms, but was satisfied overall. The promo had enough to get my attention, it looked fun, and it was. Mission Accomplished✔️ . *Side note: Though the He-Man Teela coupling is not a big draw for me (not completely opposed to it either), I appreciated the way the attraction was handled in the final Filmation episode. It did not "Get them together" but did communcate affection(He-Man's specifically).
Chris Wood not Mathew Wood. Bringing in Melissa Benoist makes sense especially for the story. Not only does she voice a great Tesla but her real life relationship and marriage to Chris Wood adds gravitas to the relationship between He-Man/Adam and Teela. Revolution was phenomenal and I can’t wait until the next installment.
From what i have see it was very good in many way the battle of gramamyr was shorter than i throught i was thinking he would take a few more enimies but they did well and i had like much of it is gramamyr the last if so it would have shown the great power their kind has i did like the idea from another fan of red dragon freezing the horde fleet in place stopping them attack just stnding their doing nothing it would make some scene why the cannon did not fire and give some ideas strength in his magic also i was thinking where is his dragons in the battle unless his the last living dragon in their world
I didnt totally hate Revolution. Shifting the focus towards Teela was fine with me, had the producers said so from the beginning maybe fans wouldnt have lost their $#%& like they did. That being said, I thought Revolution was really good. This time they managed to give equal screen time to the main characters of the story (He-man/Adam and Teela, Skeletor and Hordak) and enough time for the supporting cast that it all felt well balanced. My only nitpick is that I felt the final battle in Revolution was not quite as epic as the one in Revelation. And the cliffhanger for the next part left me hyped. I hope it doesnt take long to come out.
They did, it's just the asshole sites kept telling you they didn't so that's all you heard. Vocal minority and all that. They said from the Begining that Teela would have to go on a perilous Quest to fix the powersword they just left out the reason Why cause you know spoilers.
My biggest problem are all the deaths. They're killing off characters too much & too fast. I loved Revolution up until Motherboard got decapitated. She's my favorite character, she is *AWESOME!* She had so much potential but they never did anything with her & then just killed her off. She was created just to be killed off & that pisses me off! The other thing that pisses me off is the fact that all the characters in MOTU except for He-Man, Teela, Orko & Man-At-Arms are nothing but background scenery & cameos. They never get any screen time. They never get any character development. When Snout Spout, Rio-Blast & Buzz-Off show up I don't see any difference between them & the basic cannon fodder Palace Guards. Blink & you miss them. They're lucky to get 1 line in the entire show. He-Man, Teela, Orko & Man-At-Arms *HOG UP ALL THE SCREEN TIME!* It's all about them & every other character might as well be a tree or a rock in the background.
You remind me of how I felt when I learn that the cool Transformer I got for my Birthday was basically an Extra when I watched the G1 Cartoon. Everyone wants the Characters they had as kids to be more important then they really are. 😂
Yup agreed. But that's what the manbabies like. Show lots of action with oiled up men and little development so not to hurt their little heads and weewees. Thank gawd Kevin was able to deliver something that still worked very well.
Ya, I don't know better but some things are corny. Wasn't thrilled or excited about seeing this new one because of the last ones and the bs storyline/pushing points, Trying to make the minority of today's world happy.. Butthis was better. And you're really touches on key things.
Oh, and you're right. The Keldor story was done very well... And despite having negative feelings towards William Shatner since seen him this year, He did great in the voice... I didn't even know he was going to be the voice Because I didn't care about seeing this initially Since revelation stunk to me. And no, I don't like humans. Costume at the end like you did. Too busy.And my first thought is how old you and others Commenting. And if that plays apart?.
I thought william shatner did well/great at the voice. But couldn't get out of my head seening him this year and he was, I dare to say almost, awful in person. How he acted, barely, towards the audience. And how he rambled on without saing much.. And then no emotion or interaction when taking a picture with practically everyone. Didn't even sign His own tour posters in person. they just handed them out. But skeletors, joker voice, still sucks to me..
I will not give Revolution a chance. I shouldn’t have to sit through ten bad episodes to give context to the five good ones. Also, if this is such a vast improvement over Revelation, then they had the ability to make a good show the first time around. They just chose not to.

You must be hi, this sucked. Yeah, the animation is top notch and there are some good performances, but this story was garbage. He-Man looked like a fool again, many times. Silent Bob can't write Motu. It's gay.
