I have been interested for a while now, however there is no one here in Australia who trains/teaches MDS otherwise this would be an integral part of my life; after training in a number of martial arts, and at 48yrs old, just like the filter over my mouth that is slowly falling away, so too the shine and glimmer from the arts ... practicality is KING
due to life circumstances, I was never able to train any martial arts, in spite the fact that I had countless karate and judo dojos nearby where I lived. As a kid, I saw the old asia kung fu movies and thought, this is it. After that, I discovered mma and krav maga, but I didn't saw anything which fit my situation as a skinny dude living in no fear of guns but in fear of knife attacks. I love the simpification of mastro. stick to one technique which fits you. a street fight isn't duel and once I saw that bitting was teached as an intregal part of a technique, I was intrigued to say the least!
Basically Mr pedro Improving every move by pencak silat become a simple move to defence and attack very quick. The point is keep balancing of our body while we defence and attack at the same time very faster. That's why in Indonesian special forces army pencak silat is very deadly because they using in high level and more effective
Have mercy I was watching a video tonight and made the same observation. It's incredible I see this after. People training dishonestly a life and death issue.
No one there knows the secret of focusing on the center mass of the opposition. To protect your Center, you must focus on theirs so that you can see everything coming towards you. You have to see the attack before your body can react to it. When you have focused center you can see the top of their head to the tip of their toes. You can simply see the shoulder position for a strike and the hips position for a knee or kick. Take your eyes off of center mass for a split second, you can, and will get hit, cut, shot or kicked every time. When you're focused on their center, you are also focused on protecting your own. By doing so, one can stop his knife challenge at the end of this video. Simply try it to see for yourself. K.I.S.S. Method. I hold a 5th Dan. This is an ancient secret of the Masters.
I don't even have braces for my pants and I can challenge you in his game. You WONT BE ABLE TO BLOCK IT NO MATTER WHAT. It's a game of physics and signal speed of nerves. There is no way to beat this game as a defender. You can theorize about "seeing" the "announcement" of the strike. Still your signal speed from eyes to brain to spinal cord to arm is not fast enough to stop anything in Tim and also the Motion in space with that timing only results in you not being able to stop anything because of inertia. Just look at the earlier part of this vi ideo about the "45 Degree" control. As soon as you think you succeed, you get out of alignment of being able to maintain an actual stop. The lesson to bring home here , is that if someone does a power slice at that hot distance when you have your hands down then you're done, there's nothing you can do about it.
@@weeklypi6515 you obviously know nothing about protecting your center line nor natural movement and reaction. All combat military arts are offense, counter, offense since the best defense is always a good offense. Redirect the attacking limb across their centerline to protect your own. If you watch him, that is precisely what he is doing. Everything always goes to angle, hit, off-balance techniques. I don't care who you are... if you can't perceive the attacking movement, there's no way for your mind to process it for your body to react naturally to it. I have studied Isshin-Ryu since 1966 to present, military DTI, also hold Dan ranks in TKD, Hapkido, Yudo and Certified JKD Instructor through Progressive Fighting Systems. Sometimes, the best advice is free. Best wishes in your endeavors.
It looks very nice! But no Aggressor on Street will stand still. The best to learn techniques is in a Randori when the Partner moves.Because in this moment you'll nerver forget the Atemi first of all!! Take care and be healthy
This technique won't only work for the partner train They figure an enemy to train tho So when ever the problem happen They know what should do Most melee technique rely on the way u apply it and the basic attack pose witch use in a good condition But mostly u must train train train to be fast nimble and throw all your strength into your blow
Eu treino jiu-jitsu, a família Gracie conseguiu provar a eficiência da arte, gostaria ver esse mestre provar a eficiência em uma luta, não assim com o oponente parado ai sim vou acreditar, por videos não parece ser eficiente
@@joyarnez i fought for living most of my youth i worked in clubs and in place police would not even go, i like and respect mastro and many others, but when i see demonstration people holding arm that is non sense you will be dead well before holding any arms in real life, you can knock someone easily just by hitting an arm, i am sure you know how to..a fight last few seconds no time to fuck around and play ball..you do everything to avoid a fight but if you have to, it ends just there...
@@joyarnez if i can give you any advice for improve survival fighting skills and understanding several level of human body go study Garry Rooks ,ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-GVx6ve2Y5z8.html
I get it, it's effective, but looks like an excuse to beat up students, lol. Full contact training needs at least a *little* padding. Or sure, go home and be a 'real man' and soak in a tub of ice from the 80 bruises and sprains you get from every normal training session, lol. Hope you got money to buy lots of aspercreme, tiger balm, and icy hot!
Mastro is a master... these won't work for 99% of the people in the streets... they would literally get fucked up... first you have to be at ease and intense at same time in any situation + more than 100 hours of practice for only one move... in the streets it's too fast you have to keep it simple, effective and deadly...
silat is ten times better than mastro technigeus...why? because none of his techniques are able to apply in a real fight even in MMA fight...if u dont believe, try to rewatch his matches and u will be understand what type of person he is... he was beaten by almost of his opponent so easily...
I saw a few things he stopped just short of Silat I'm sure you noticed that too. It's a beautiful Bruneian art and I can adapt it to my close protection work if needed.
L'agresseur n'est jamais tranquille comme dans vos vidéos. Il donne tout de suite des coups de poings et des coups de pieds, c'est très nerveux. Dans cette vidéo, les gens en face sont toujours nonchalants comme des poupées 😅😅😅
There is no any skill to punch and kick somebody who do not fighting back. Try to do this not on students. There is a video on youtube with Fred Mastro sparring. It is very poor. Check it, and do not believe masters without sparring video.
