beginners are naturally slower, and need to use slower machines for better understanding what they are doing, and constantly increase speed as they become more experienced
question. would the machine he is using the AVA ep7 would that be a solid beginner machine for a person getting into tattooing? or is that considered too much power even for the least volts?
Great info and video! I feel like setting up this chart on some fake skin would be helpful for anyone to do, especially for those of us who are new, and also anytime you get a new machine and want to get a feel for its voltages. (Idk, I like swatches and charts 😂 I’m so new in my wanting-to-become-a-tattooer journey that I’ve never even touched a tattoo machine) Would you say it’s a good idea for someone like me to get some inexpensive equipment and some fake skin and do some experiments like this before I even have an apprenticeship?
I agree. It’s a good way to get to know your equipment .. And when it comes to getting equipment prior to a apprenticeship, It’s a yes and no for me lol Yes because it’s exciting and if you are just using practice skin whatever that’s fine. No because some people will mess up tattoos on others really bad and create bad habits while knowing nothing about cross contamination or how to work with skin.
@@ThatTattooGuyOfficial Oh I definitely would not attempt tattooing actual skin before getting proper training through an apprenticeship lol not even on my own body
Thank you very much for the interesting videos! As a complete beginner, I dont‘t wanna spend a lot of money for equipment. Is it possible to do beautiful lettering with a beginner set with about $100 or is the equipment very very important? A friend wants a lettering from me and I wanna practice on fake skin a lot. can I have success with a cheap pen and a good needle?
Any time! The outcome of the tattoo has to do with the artists talent. Certain machines will make things easier for you, but you could do anything with any machine really as long as you understand how to make it happen. Definitely invest in good needles and ink
Any tips for a decent extra light blue.. like lighter than duck egg blue from eternal.. tried a few, world famous amongst others.. seemed very thin, which i kinda get as obv heavier on the white elements.. but thought you may know of a goodun Thanks if you do and if you respond ✌️
I'm wound if I make a chart like this would if help me find the rite hand speed and machine speed bc I steal have Problems finding my hand speed to machine speed
Your videos are great , and I like them. However hand speed is not as steady as volt setting or any other mechanical setting.like you stated the machine may vary, and hand speed varies. Great video!
Yeah I literally have no idea why he sped up the only important part 😂 literally just said to go slower the lower volts you do and faster the higher volts. Nothing else was shown 😂
This is a demonstration of the relation between hand speed and machine speed.. your hand speed and machine speed are specific to you and would be different than this video
