Great video, thanks for taking the time to do it! This bow looks like a beast. I love the focus on practical tuning that can help many people get out and enjoy the sport instead of tracking down tuning issues and wondering how the bow will perform during the season. One question I’ve had since my Halon 32 is related to the top hats. What is it that makes the Mathew’s twin cam bows sensitive to the top hat sizes and orientations? Seems like most don’t need to be swapped, but I spent ages tweaking the rest and chasing every detail until I got the kit and changed out a pair. Exact same thing that the bow in the video exhibited.
Thanks for the feedback Brett! Good question on the top hat sizes. It's very similar to other bow companies and how their cams align on the axle/shaft between the limbs. I've seen other brands be just as sensitive if not more. There are so many factors that come into play with paper tuning. Just like I said in the video, as long as you get the base right and a good "zero start" you shouldn't have to do too much tuning. I have seen many times and experienced it when I first started out as a bow tech that if you didn't take the time to do it right in the first place, you'll be spending way more time than you care chasing and tuning. Hope that helps! - Will
Hey! I highly recommend a flagship bow for your first bow. You will have a better experience in doing so. If you have a tighter budget, do what you can to purchase the flagship bow like the Phase 4 and then start out with some basic, budget friendly accessories. We did that with the next bow build which you can see here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_PqVBF_CrgM.html Buy once, cry once with a great bow. Then as you become more experienced, tinker with more accessories! - Will
I'm still disappointed as mathews doesn't ship any new products to customers directly internationally , that means i have to fly out to get it personally because there are no archery shops in my country😂
My next bow when I become a millionaire I’m buying a Mathew’s they’ve gotta be the sexiest bows on the planet the phase 4 is my dream bow I shot a buddies phase 4 a while back and have fallen in love with them sense
You don't know the half. When I turned the double nickel back in June I celebrated by buying the V3X and the Phase 4. Both 33s This spring I'm going after both Lifts.....
