Mathews Phase 4 | 33 The Best Bow of 2023

Jamie got me all setup on my hoyt rx7 ultra I shot all the bows believe it or not it all came down between the rx7 ultra and the bowtech ss34 love Jamie he is a true mastermind behind it all I came in to the shop after driving over 2.5 hours to get there when I got there he was having lunch he dropped everything he was doing to help me Jamie is truly one of a kind and believe it or not a difference maker for my success in the woods!!

Nice analysis on a very fine piece of equipment. Matthews really hit the sweet spot with this one. I put it up against my coveted V3X 29 and my trusty Hoyt Ventum Pro 33. It edged out both with a spring shootout. It will also serve as my 3D bow. I did change out the grip with the Ultraview to eliminate wrist torque. I’m 58 and truly enjoy my bow time on my range and in the field.

I picked up the new Mathews Phase 4. Bought the small one to treestand hunt. Love my Triax but I gifted it to my neighbor, who's fourteen, his dad just gun hunt. Now he is out practice and everyday.

Love the Marsupial Quiver. Also Adams Archery is pretty legit.

Good video dude. That's a sweet rig. I'm still running a Mathews V3 27. Haven't talked myself into the Phase 4 yet. There is a stubby Allen wrench that comes in the package with that hamskea. Your bow shop probably has it.

Went to the archery shop with zero desire to buy a new bow this year. Shot the phase 4 and bought it on the spot.

Great video Jayce! I bought a V3X 33 last fall before deer season. It is the first Mathews I have owned and I can honestly say the best shooting bow I have ever had. Are you going to TAC in Michigan next weekend?

I upgraded from the v3 27 at 78# to the phase 4 33 in ambush green and electric red gas strings love the setup so far just got my black gold dual Trac and mathews quiver and 10" bridgelok stabilizer I agree 530 bucks for a stabilizer and quiver is straight bs plus another 450 for sight and 300 on rest ur talking 3k and not even complete yet but I'm still keeping my v3 for backup it's been an awesome shooter for me also its hard to sell it being I got my 2 pb bucks with it so probably gonna be hunting with both this season

Welcome back. I bet you end up hunting with it, just a hunch. I highly recommend the ultraview grip, either the 1st gen or the 2.0, they are both great grip and take your consistency to the next level.

I just find out that mathews- nor hoyt archery ship's their bows international to customers directly , extremely disappointing as my country does not have any acrhery shops , and obviously i dont want to buy someone's used bow so i guess i have to go and get it myself😂

How would you describe the difference in draw between phase 4 and Hoyt?

I own the V3X 33 when I seen this bow I was like WTF! Really mathews RUBBER!!!!! I do not care what you own rubber wears out. On your doors any place. Bottom line is it will crack and wear. But we have to understand bussiness too. So lets say I make a bow and I know it will last 7 years before it starts cracking. Most in the first 5 years would had bought another and the old one hangs on the wall. The odd person will complain when it does start to fail because the majority bought newer bows. So sure they will fix them or send you new limbs they are expecting it. A small percentage will need them fixed. Every company is considered the time factor in business. After all it is the bottom line with any company. So will it fail? sure it will. But will you have a new bow before it does? most likly. I myself would rather have the V3X for that reason. Just my opinion and we know what that is like everyone has one. LOL
