Currently dealing with losing my beautiful girlfriend of 6 years. I've never loved someone so much in my life and I was careless. I fucked up and ruined it at the end. I had told her since early on I was going to marry her and never did. The night of our big fight she asked me if I wanted to go fishing and I told her no. I could have saved it before she left me the next day. I let her walk out of the door and I never said a word to her. I didn't even leave the room. I could have stopped her. I gave up my chance because I wanted to be upset instead. Not marrying her, not stopping her from walking out the door, and not taking her fishing that night are the three biggest regrets of my life. I mean that wholeheartedly. I'm fighting for her but I'm afraid it might be too late. This is singlehandedly the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with in my life. Losing the absolute one true love you've ever had in your life brings you inexplicable pain. I've never cried so much in my life, and I've never experienced such deep pain. It is mentally, emotionally, and physically painful. I wish I would have realized my mistakes earlier and not waiting until she left for me to do so. To everyone: Whatever gender you may be, don't make the same mistake I did. Hold your partner close and never let them go. Always make time for them. Nothing is more important than love. Tell them how much you love them and how much they mean to you every day. Listen to them. Think before you speak. Never raise your voice in anger. If you aren't speaking out of love don't say anything at all. Support and sacrifice for them to achieve their dreams. If you tell them you will do something, do it. Fight like hell to keep them. and NEVER LET THEM WALK OUT THE DOOR. But also, if you're the one hurt, always give them a final chance to make it right. At the end of the day, everyone makes mistakes. Love is hard. Don't let true love go to waste without a final chance. You may give three, four, five or however many chances throughout the relationship, but you'll know when its time for the final chance. Don't give up on love without it and don't let love go to waste.
