What a beautiful song. I'm currently deployed in Kuwait, and this song definitely sums up what my wife and I are going through while I'm out here. Beautiful, just beautiful.
Wow, full circle. Back away from home, and this song comes back to mind. This time hits a little different, got a little fella at home now along with my wife. Beautiful song, beautiful talent.
Absolutely astounding!!! He has the most amazing voice I've ever heard! Incredible guitar player as well! I've seen him cut lose on the guitar before and he can shred big time. The songs he rights are so soulful and filled with raw emotion. I am a metal head through and through and this man has completely replaced my absolute favourite music. He is now my undisputed favourite. He has the best voice ever! Hat's off. Hope I'm blessed enough to see him live some day.
I have to admit... I just discovered this incredible talent of Matt Andersen yesterday. It happened as a direct result of talking with my younger brother about The White Buffalo doing a cover of "I'm On Fire". He sent me the link of Matt doing the cover of the same track and I was immediately blown away! Mesmerized is where I have been for the past day and a half. Pure, natural, raw with emotion and lyrics that hit you at the deepest part of your being. Amazing!
Beth Rushing isn't that cover of im on fire incredible? .. Was the first i saw of him too. Blew my heart right out of my chest. I just think he's a very special artist. Loved hearing how you learnt of Matt Andersen. 🥰
Time is the darkness, before the light! What a line I often play this song in my grow room. It's got such great soul. Keep putting you're heart into you're songs and the skys the limit bro
Saw him in Calgary in 2011 and fell in love with this song but never knew what it was called and never found it. Until today and now it's bringing back wonderful memories from back then and I'm falling in love with it all over again :)
This one gave me chills when I heard him perform it live at Massey Hall in Toronto. Just a beautiful song. A big man with a big voice. I will never forget how I discovered Matt. Early one morning on CBC 2 I hear his incredible cover of Ain't no Sunshine. I look at my wife and my comment was who the f*** is that? I told him that story when I met him after the Massey Hall concert and he laughed and shook my hand.
Love the words to this song. One of your best Matt. Your lady must be very, very special to have a song like this written about her. Wishing you both every happiness.
I'm just discovering Matt Andersen. How did you get past me? Now my days are consumed finding more videos. Watching the Nova Scotia entertainment line-up for your next visit. I better not miss that one!
Man beautiful voice, I love your original sound. You guitar riffs are different and so clean. Soulful sound like I haven't heard in this tone. Sounds gospel too. Amazing
Damn this guy has such an incredible voice.... I just came after his take on "Aint no sunshine" ...totally singing his soul out, totally bare and raw 100%, just incredible... + he´s great damn guitarist! (check that clip guys!)
Wow.....he is soooo good.......I sing and play...this is amazing. I listen to singers to find songs I want to do...most of the professionals are really mediocre...this guy is TOP.....Truly a talent....I have to say the best. Can't think of any big names that are anywhere near this ones talent. WTF?
Damn, Matt. I was a big fan before, but this is is wonderful. I'd love to hear you, Colter Wall, and Stapleton to do a song together. It would have to be truly incredible. Maybe "The Highwaymen" with Shooter Jennings. Or "7 Spanish Angels". Hell, i don't care. Lol
Je déteste la France et ses médias musicaux quand elle fait l'erreur de ne pas reconnaitre un artiste aussi talentueux que vous!!I hate France and its music media when it makes the mistake of not recognizing an artist as talented as you!
I disagree. I feel like the judges will try to remake him into something he isn't, and what's worse, they'd take his guitar from him. That's one of the major things that give him his soul, his passionate feel. They'd also give him songs to sing that just don't suit his style at all. He needs to keep doing what he's doing, someone will discover him that will truly appreciate his musicality.
Jenni Fer Odonnell There's no tv show or tv audience that would appreciate him (or any other real talent). Our generation(s) have no interest in real talent. Otherwise he'd already be rich and famous. Unfortunately music is dead. All we can hope, is that it might be revived during our lifetime. However we know not to hold our breath. Be thankful there are still a few faithful holdouts (like yourself) who still have faith in humanity.
