11 years ago kimmel started saying that they did not have time for matr but obviously they are actually best friends and have been keeping this joke up for 11 years
Shut up! That sucks. I didn't get invites to stuff, but dayum...no parent was ever that big a piece of crap. Sorry! Hold your own parties now, right???!
@@sillygoose635 lol I highly doubt that. Have you seen her stand up? I may not be a pro comedian but I can guarantee I'm much funnier than she is. Hell I know alot of regular people much funnier than her. Her jokes are all about making fun of herself and making sex jokes and that's all her crowd really laughs at and quite frankly those are the only jokes she can use to get a laugh from the crowd.
@@sillygoose635 come on stevie. Just cause she's a famous comedian doesn't mean she's better at being funny than normal people. That's not how comedy works.
@@sillygoose635 lol stevie stevie stevie, when someone is better at doing something then someone else,it has nothing to do with fame. You obviously missed a few key lessons on life to know fame don't make you better than everybody.
@@saiyangoku7652 In "Good Will Hunting" Matt Damon has a famous line - "Do you like apples. [Holds up girls number on a piece of paper] How do you like those apples." - where he shows up another guy after a dispute. Watch the scene for the context.
And they have Jimmy Kimmel fail to get the part in Good Will Hunting with an audition that uses that line. You see the reason Jimmy is mad is that he's auditioned for every movie that Matt Damon is in and Matt Damon got the part.
Jimmy and Matt are one of the finest comic duos I've ever seen, honestly I adore both of them. I guess Matt has never missed a show of Jimmy in his entire life, even more at the Oscars. Who else is watching this in 2021??
its a famous line from the movie that made him a star basically, written by both ben affleck and matt damon, its the movie that made them both stars and won them an oscar in 1997...when they were nobody's
***** the mom thing isnt though, he doesnt say or mention the word "mom" in the scene, it reminded me alot of the andy sandberg mark wahlberg talking to animals snl skit lol
It's a reference to the movie but a couple years back Matt did a video with Jimmy's ex girlfriend saying they were sleeping together and in it Matt said "I like these apples" and pointed at Jimmy's ex gf breasts so he was saying Jimmy's mom has noce tits basically.
Matt: Tell your mom I like them apples. Dialogue was used in Good Will Hunting for which he won Oscar. He used that to remind Jimmy of his Oscar win when Jimmy lost his Emmy. That's a big burn!!
Kimmel is tooling Jason. The only reason Kimmel gets the views is because people expect to see Damon on the show coz he is invited all the time, but leave disappointed that there wasnt any time. If Matt isnt invited, nobody goes to the show.
The Martian proved some of his best comedic skills in a movie, he's hilarious in that movie. Takes a guy with a charisma like him to be funny when you're not best at
It's practically impossible for another talk show host and a celebrity to put on a feud this long in the future. Just the fact they can pretend for this long deserves my total respect. What a uncanny record on tv history.
Kimmel knew that most people watches his show just for their hilarious fake feud so they have to keep on going. Whatever it is, his last guest must be Damon if he ever retires 😂
These two are so good.., you just never get tired of seeing them together. Fact is, whenever I'm watching a Matt Damon movie, I feel Jimmy is nearby ready to jump in and mix it up with Matt.
@@iTzYoMasterXX They do not know. Only the accounting firm knows. As someone else said, they had two skits planned. If Kimmel had won, it would be something where he dumps on Damon.
Actually, that was last line of "Kimmel Vs. Damon VIII": "Good one, Jason Boring." And he had a throwback to the joke: "Ladies and Gentlemen, the ONLY talented Damon in Hollywood" and introduced Damon Wayans.
Chris Rock must be thinking while sitting as an audience, "Man, how cool is it to host an emmy or oscars? You can joke all you want and they keep on laughing."
Hey there. I hope you’re well and safe. With this opportunity, I want to take my time to reach out to you my fan personally, It is by your love and support that I could get to such height.
It *is* gold. There hasn't been a dud in the whole series. And it's amazing they've carried the gag for 11 years. I thought this one felt they'd moved on from rivalry hate to brotherly hate.
Definitely, I hope for more Awards shows like these. Real laughs and funny jokes, plus it helps all of us see how level-headed many of our favorite actors, actresses and TV hosts, etc, are when they don't have to be in character. It sucks sometimes when everyone knows some people are snubbed, but the energy and the essence of knowing they are real people who deserve respect make me feel like meeting them one day is more than just the shock of knowing they are somebody's because they really have the power to help change people's worlds. Maybe next year they could have a skit where all the people who are negative culprits can sit at the front and made to wear plastic all over so tomatoes could be thrown in a makeshift rendition of Bram Stokers Dracula during one of the many blood eating death scenes. 🤷♂️
every time I see a character in a movie with an apple i tell myself that, or when the movie begins and we see the logos i tell my self " 57 seconds of Logos DING", Cinema sins is everywhere xD
If there’s one thing I’m glad about this quarantine, it’s finding these running gags on RU-vid that I haven’t noticed since living under a rock. That apples bit at the end 😂😂
This feud is so hilarious from the day it started .. and kudos to Matt and Jimmy for continuing it for so long and bringing much needed laugh all the time 😂
Look up the youtube video about the origin of the feud. It's kind of funny. They didn't know each other before. They became friends BECAUSE of the feud
definitely - at this point I feel like its more of a publicity stunt for whenever they're around each other. i think they are great friends and that little bit was entirely scripted.
The highest complement any actor can have is when when fellow actors and comedians laugh at the actor's act. Matt is almost in a class by himself for being the most versatile actor of his generation.
