I felt like the division was up for grabs before, but this trade makes a huge difference. A legit pass rusher was the biggest hole on the roster and now ATL is a legit contender (barring any injuries).
I’ve said this before I’ll say it again…you don’t need sacks to be an effective defense y’all just get caught up in the counting stats but realistically you just need to put pressure on the qb and force mistakes which we did really well at last year making up for the fact we didn’t get that many sacks. Judson just makes it easier to do that now even if he does get 8+ sacks
Boy if that happens, I’m running down the street in whatever I have on at the time(and I do mean WHATEVER) yelling “WE’RE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL. THE ATLANTA FALCONS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL.” We are really good and got good depth up front now. If we get Simmons we are ELITE on the back end. Bates,Terrell, and Simmons take away 3/4s and in a cover 3 good luck.
As a huge patriots fan, you guys got a gem. I’m upset we lost him. Only problem is he does have injury problems. He is so dominant though when he is healthy. If he’s healthy, good luck. If he’s not then he’s just wasting money for you.
I promise you it’s not. A 3rd rounder is the most he was worth and I think it’s good personally. Judon is an aging player who is looking for a big contract, for a team like the Pats that just doesn’t make since to pay a 32 yr old when the team as a whole isn’t good and in rebuild mode. It was the right move.
@@plasidytv5435 Yeah now they can be even better. They defense didn't get enough credit because of hte Falcons record but that was 100% on the Offense. Defense gave this team every chance for a 10+ win season and the offense couldn't get a first down for entire halves of football
He came off an injury, they’re in a rebuild and they probably weren’t going to get a lot if not anything from him if they didn’t trade him because he’s in the final year of his contract
This was a great turn of events for the Falcons. This is what they need to elevate this defense. Stay tuned. Mayo, the worst coach that has ever been in the NFL is well on his way to destroy the Patriots.
They're called Guardian Caps , help with head injuries They'll be able to wear them in games now ( optional ) which I'm sure some will , Jonathan Taylor wore one
@@plasidytv5435 Several factors can affect the frequency of injuries: epidemiological studies have shown older players can be at a greater risk. Matthew Judon will turn 33 today. New England didn't get rid of him out of the kindness of their heart. And at 33 he won't be the same player he was at 30 or 31. Go ask Buffalo about how it worked out for Von Miller?
