Quick speed test and bash comparison between my X-Maxx and Outcast 8s. They both stopped running quickly due to small things, but it was still fun. Xmaxx hit 55 MPH and Outcast hit 54 MPH (off road speeds)
Bought an xmaxx with the same motor. The power is insane. Stripped my pinion and spur on the first run (hardened). How do the mod 1.5 gears hold up with all the power? And the rest of the drive train like diffs etc?
They hold up well. I've only had trouble when doing like a 25ft high concrete landings. That was just too much. That same jump on grass/dirt is fine. I did have to put some aluminum in key areas of the diffs. I have a video talking about how to do it. I also put a shim in front of the output gears on the diffs, so that I would strip diff gears less. I'll link the video here, or just look around in my channel. Yeah . It holds up well after those modifications.
