I still can’t believe Eva’s in this. Like yeah Vergil, cool we already knew he was there, but that stuff with Eva trying to hide Dante and Vergil as kids was legitimately shocking. I never expected that to be in a DMC game, just mentioned in the backstory.

I’ve noticed that Nero gets called useless a lot. In the preview footage when Dante calls Nero dead weight, Nero takes it to heart, and then we got Urizen straight up calling him useless. proving himself to Dante is probably gonna be one of his main motivators going through the game besides getting his arm back.

Max it you didn't notice when Nero reaches out at the end you can see the wings coming out hinting at maybe true DT or new power

When that music switched and they showed the flashes of everyone, with the last one being Dante. Grown man tears came not gonna lie to y’all. I’m ready

The biggest surprise to me in this trailer (other than the story bits) was that Dante seems to able do his own version of the Summoned Swords technique now, something only Vergil and Nero could do beforehand, so it's gonna be interesting seeing how he managed to obtain it.

By the way, it looks like that sword Dante has is definitely an evolved Rebellion.

I really liked the end of the trailer referencing the end of the DMC4 attract mode with Nero reaching towards the screen. I hope Max caught that even though he didn't say anything about it.

But is Vergil really the antagonist in this game? I feel like Capcom is making it seem that way to throw people off. I feel like there's going to be a big twist and Vergil is actually going to help.

"Devil May Cry has never been profound with its Story." I would disagree with that by arguing that Devil May Cry 3 actually has some highly underrated Story Elements. It is not the most amazing of Epics, but there are some themes and story elements that really stand out in that game, i think.

This experience will be great, I'm glad you will share it with us.

So that last shot of Nero, with that blue energy burst coming out of his back, I think Nero finally gets his own proper devil trigger, which looks like a mix of Dante's wings and Vergil's lightning aura.

So many feels, Eva, Vergil and the possible final boss battle cut-sense! I pre-order mine today, happy to know it comes out five days before my birthday and I'm so excited for it! I'm going to replay the games to refresh the story since its been a while and watch the anime as well. Since we are getting a Devil May Cry Netflix series I really hope they give us more story on how Sprata and Eva met and fell in love (I need that CAPCOM!!!) and how Vergil and Dante embrace their powers despite they both chose a different path with it.

I get the feeling that the new sword Dante is carrying is an awakened Rebellion and that he's also channeling his Majin form in his human form, i.e the 4 four red arrows on his back mimicking his Majin forms 4 wings.

Calling it right now: Nero's gonna get a DT and it's gonna have big energy wings that are red and blue like the logo

What if Vergil is just an illusion? Urizen says he’ll show Dante his worst nightmare, could his worst nightmare be the fact that he let Vergil stay in the underworld? And so this is what Urizen shows him

Know what would quite possibly be the greatest thing ever? If reboot Dante was the final stage of Bloody Palace. That would just blow everyone's minds. It would be the most epic troll / in-joke ever (and potentially fun as hell).

The real question when they show Eva has got to be “will we finally see Sparda in action?” Does he have a human look or will he still be the crazy bug knight we saw in the prologue for DMC1? Please show me some Sparda!

People keep thinking Vergil's going to be a villain, but I'd be both surprised and disappointed if that were actually the case. I think he'll still be *antagonistic* in some regards, and at least Nero is probably going to fight him for final possession of Yamato, but I fully expect this to be the game where Vergil finally comes full circle and redeems himself. Also, he'll probably die again as a result, because that's how it works.

Props to the team taking the ending of the reboots DLC and making it the premise of this game.

Kinda wish that Capcom had a Darkstalkers character like Donovan as a playable DLC character in DMC5. He already has a transformation into a Vampire/Demon state, can glide on his sword, summons elemental spirits of Ice, Lightning, and Fire for attacks, summons a (I think) living statue that summons a portal and stomps on the enemy, summons an Iron Maiden, has the Dark Force ability and the potential to feed off enemies.

Now... I'm Motivated

I'm pretty new to the DMC series, but from the trailers and all the hype coming from Max, I can thoroughly say I am super excited for this game.

I don't think Vergil is the main antagonist. I think he's coming back to redeem himself. Because yeah what he did in 3 but at the end he was trying to help his brother. But who knows we'll find out soon enough

does anyone else have the same theory as me? I think that when Nero is reaching the screen and his Devil Breaker is starting to glow blue like his old Devil Bringer and large blue glowing effects coming out of his back It's gonna be his new devil trigger/awakening form.

I think DMC1-4 (specifically 3's and 4's) story elements were just more subtle. I think this one isn't going to be too different.

The most interesting thing to me is actually Dante's new sword, which is probable some kind of perfect Rebellion
