For me the coolest thing is seeing Kazuya, Ryu, and Terry all in a game together. I’d honestly be surprised if something like this ever happened again.

Probably because of the trailer setup, but Max isn't into Tekken as much as something like a Capcom fighter. Even then, I think he would've preferred Jin over Kazuya.
Can we just talk about how unexpected this was? I didn’t see anyone even MENTION Kazuya in any leak/prediction video, so he came completely out of left field for me.
It's been about 4 years since Geese was announced for Tekken 7... and now in 2021 Street Fighter, KoF and Tekken are back together again Feels good man
@@Falkuzrules I'd think we can have the full cliff throwing animation, though the character he throws would be fixed, the same way Piranha plant also has Mario in its victory animation.
I mean, people have been learning how to wavedash on controllers since the beginning. Since at least King or the Mishimas got their wavedashes. IDK which exact game that was since I'm not super knowledgeable about the franchise, but controller use to play is the absolute highest among Tekken players in the entire FGC.

Dude the moment i saw the chest, coupled with the framing that reminded me of a certain scene that involved someone carrying an unconcious body in an ominous tone, i immediately knew it was a Tekken character.

@@Durinson1 it’s just another fighting game character with a transformation that plays how they originally did with the almost exact same stage gimmick as Terry. Kazuya is essentially an upgraded Terry
Please, no. Not another cutscene final smash, for god's sake. The beam super is enough. ...having him toss a character off the victory platform in one of his winposes is good enough though.
Can't wait for him to arrive in Project M EX Remix (this happened for Terry) or Project NX, but I'm happy to have him officially even if movement and buffering might end up being ass.
The best thing about smash is that it doesn’t matter who gets announced, the character is always awesome. While I was happy that Kazuya got announced instead of Heihachi or Jin, a big part of me was disappointed by the fact that it wasn’t the Doom Slayer or some other character I care more about. But I just got Kazuya and I’m having an absolute blast playing as him. At the end of the day I just want fun characters that have a fun moveset/play style
As someone who is a lifelong Tekken Fan, I am super happy and hyped for Kazuya in Smash. His Smash Reveal Trailer literally made me went over the moon, because that meant to me a lot. Hope you are doing well, staying safe and keep up with the awesome content 🙂👍🏼

I suspect that they intentionally used stuff like Just Dance and Life is Strange to pad out time between the bigger announcements cause they know streamers and stuff would be freaking out and end up talking over them.
I have the feeling that they're going to keep the inputs like his normals being on the A button and his devil moves on the B button. However, he'll probably have unique diagonal tilts, which if you press A and then B thats how you get the rest of his combos.
So now we have Ryu/Ken, Terry, and Kazuya all in the same game. We just need an ArcSys character and we'll have a representative of each of the main fighting game companies (excluding Netherrealm since theyre not super popular in Japan).
I watch a lot of Tekken stuff. Love that game. The sound effects, the announcer, this trailer was a tribute to the Tekken Saga. Sometimes I even got the impression I was watching a Tekken trailer until I noticed other characters. It was beautiful. I was honestly expecting some Crash, but Kazuya is a really nice surprise.
Tag 2 has some shit too, I want them to throw in the high school love song as a mixup between all the classics and T7's Azure but we might get original remixes too.
Once the Tekken 3 character select music began, my only thought was how many more Tekken bangers will show up. Gimme some Moonlit Wilderness, Midtown Roars (Lightning Storm), and Electric Fountain up in this!
