How could u not be motivated? Almost all of them are grown adults (myself included) who genuinely felt like a kid again after seeing this. I even remember that one Asian dude who literally cried like a baby after watching this.
The fact that the development team watched this video everytime they wanted motivation to make the game is just phenomenal...... Max is literally the reason why this game is gonna be so fucking epic.

Tidder T where have they stated that? It’s known the KH team watched the KH RU-vidrs but that’s a different team. This is BD1 and so far only stated they have watched Max’s reaction to my knowledge when I watched his stream.
Wow, Max almost made me cry tears of joy for a game i don't even care that much about. I love people who get unapologetically excited about things they love. It's something I'm still learning to do.

Lord Baktor I felt the same for Mega Man in Smash...there are moments when someone you admire gets so happy about something you don't care much for...it somehow makes you happy that others are happy and hyped about something. Nothing wrong with it, m'lord. It's called hype/feels. Hype and feels combined...very powerful stuff. :)
Lord Baktor If you almost cried at this, you should watch Unravel's dev from EA conferece, the guy was a nervous wreck, shaking a lot and seemed ready to burst into tears, but you could feel how excited he was for being there to show his game to everyone.

Who knew that the actual & official peeps over at Square Enix used this video as motivation to make sure the remake would do absolutely well. Has it though? 5 years later and they've released part 1 or 3. If they didn't do it piece by piece it could have been 7-8 years before it was released which is an entire console cycle.

I watched this with my brother. FF7 is my all-time fav game and I was one of the people that didn't want a remake. As the trailer went on I kept saying "No, I don't want this! I didn't ask for this!" and as soon as I saw Barret's gun I lost my shit jumped for joy because the 12 year old me from back then decided to jump out jump out. My brother watched me completely 180 in a split second.... Then Shenmue 3 Kickstarter was announced.... I think I died.

Okay, I am going to admit it... I've never played Final Fantasy 7. I want to, but I simply never got around to it so the game holds none of the special meaning for me as it does others. ...but I rewatch this reaction maybe once a month because it makes me just smile to see someone so HAPPY. The pure joy Max has... it is wonderful
Final Fantasy 7 was so incredible. It's very, very old now, but if you can appreciate old games you can still find and play it because it is still very playable. That's actually what I did. I never had a PSOne.. I had always been a big Nintendo fan and didn't find Sony until PS2. But PS2 was backwards compatible and I always was so intrigued by this FF7 game - a game that was originally supposed to be a Nintendo game. So one day I bought a copy online and played it on my PS2. The graphics were already outdated even at that time, but I didn't care, I played it and I started to understand. It was incredible.. the story.. the characters.. the battle system.. the depth of gameplay.. the challenge.. I may not have experienced the game during it's prime, but I still had my moment and my memories with the game and it's something I wouldn't trade in the world for anything. I'm so glad I decided to track it down and play it. I'm not sure how it would hold up to a first time player now in 2017.. I will warn you, by now the graphics are ROUGH, you would have to be the type of person that has a very, very open mind, who enjoys massively single player experiences and willing to play something that is now very dated, but I'm sure even today, this game has something special in store for anybody willing to try it with an open mind.. or just wait for the remake. It really was an amazing, incredible ride.

And what a journey it was. I gotta say remake 7 was a triumphant experience start to finish. One of the best ive ever played. Filled with love and passion throughout. You genuinely can feel the love here in this game its truly heart warming.

@@MastxrWayneThat is from the middle of the Main Theme of FF7, also referred to as Clouds theme. That note isn't how the song starts, but if you listen to the whole song, you'll reach that point in the song. It's also the same music that plays on the world map of FF7 before Meteor shows up.

I love coming back to this video occasionally, because it completely mirrors my reaction to the Remake trailer. Other than that I started bawling and shaking, not believing what I've just seen. To think that the FFVII Remake project is in fact very fuckin' real still is just such a huge joy to me. I really, really love FFVII so damn much 🥹🥹🥹

Had to come back to this after watching Max's E32019 story. For anyone with any doubts about this game, the FFVIIR dev team literally use this very video as motivation to keep them going and remember what they want their fans to feel when they play it. This game is gonna be really fucking good.
I still watch this every time before I fire up the Remake just to remind myself of how far we've come and how lucky I am to even still be alive to play it. Can't wait for the rest of the game!

bigace89s Legend of Dragoon is honestly the greatest PS1 RPG, it was overshadowed by FF8 because of how popular Final Fantasy was at the time, but as a game, it has every FF game on the PS1 beat, IMHO. I would love to see a remake of the game or a sequel. Please Sony, do it!!

Nathan Taylor It's nowhere near as good as all the drones would have you believe. In most cases It was there first jrpg so they put it on a ridiculous high pedestal.
Nathan Taylor FFVII was the first RPG for a LOT of people, and that makes it special for them. It's a great game, but in a different situation it wouldn't receive the same love(something that happens with every other Final Fantasy, and stays in VII's shadow).
This was the reaction that finally convinced me to give FF7 a go. The sheer freakout Max and others were having over the idea of a remake for this game was nuts. Definitely a fun game to play despite its age.

Why do I not trust them? That wasn't the first time they played with people's hearts when it came to FFVII. The first time I remember was the steam re-release of it with microtransactions a whole year and a half before that reveal
LordBahamut No. They went back to make a trailer that probably took 6 months to make. The development cycle will be extensively long. However, I'm glad they are remaking it, especially if it adds more to the lackluster gameplay.

Wouldn't say it deserves FF7RE's amount of hype by any means, but after getting it it's actually turning out to be a pretty good game. Also, play FF7RE FIRST on Ps4? Wonder if that hints at other possible future ports then! With Cloud in Sm4sh, a Switch port definitely seems likely!

I simply don't see why I should get so hyped for a remake that, while good, wasn't close to the god-like game some people make it out to be. Especially when there's a game with legitamate potential coming out. Before you reply, know that I would be the same if say, Shadow Hearts (one of my favorite games of all time) was getting a remake. The game was great to begin with and if people liked FF7 as much as they say they do, they shouldn't have begged for a remake so much. You're basically admitting the game wasn't good enough to begin with and needs to be made better. Improving the graphics isn't going to change the game, it's the same story with the same characters and the same gameplay. Get your remake, I'll look forward to XV putting it to shame
