Fret not, Kimbo, Peter Fredette is only a couple of years away in the future, and then you'll get that backing band issue figured out after all! I've been a longtime fan of the Max Machine, dude, but I was un-aware of that weird interim band set-up (with the too-slick side men and Saga keyboardist). The one and only chance I ever had to see these guys, they were scheduled to open for Rush on the Signals tour "my first ever concert" and 2 weeks before the show Kim quit the band it was a major disappointment but, I got turned on to FM that night,another amazing Canadian prog rock trio so all was not lost, it was indeed a memorable first concert👍🏼
Thanks for posting this. 1) JD Roberts must have been born with that radio friendly voice. 2) I used to be as skinny as Kim was then, 3) I liked Universal Juveniles but thought of it more as a Kim Mitchell solo record than a MW album. The album cover tells you everything you need to know. 4) It's interesting to see Pye Dubois featured, as back in the day, I thought he didn't exist and that maybe his name was a pseudonym used to create a mystique.

Wow, everyone of them smoked! I'm so glad that business is over. I was playing back then - I remember gigs where I came off stage with tears rolling down my face from all the cigarette smoke, and rushing for that back door of the club for an opportunity to breathe some reasonably clean air.
@@sega62s U funny.. rob was working on our drummer bringing him up to speed and we all hung out at the pin ball machine parting untill super David Allison smashed the glass.... lol but rob really helped out our drummer Gary with tips, tricks and techniques... wow the good Ole day's missing them soooo
