Maxor is both a gift and a curse to this mortal world. I love him so mutch. I also highly recommend his Elden Ring series since you guys are already familiar with the game.

The best thing about this review to me, is that despite how outdated it is now, it's still pretty damn accurate. There's been two more nations added to the game since this first came out with a ton of changes to lots of things, but at it's core this review ticks almost every major beat it should. Maxor really is a talented individual when it comes to this style of over the top content.

FYI the English dub has gotten better since he made that video. So if you want to play in Eng don't be discouraged! The VAs are really great. Especially the new Sumeru characters. And they put a lot of work into it.

Fun fact about Lisa's JP AV is that she's actually like that. She streamed when the game came out and I've never heard a more energetic woman make noises constantly. Really funny! Also this video is really accurate for the first 2 regions. The game has evolved a lot now. Like a lot of jokes made in this video have been revealed to have really sad lore reasons. Like the Hilichurls and the Dendro Archon (nature god, which is actually the god(dess) of wisdom). Also the English voices are really not bad. Actually one of the quest in English almost made me cry with how much emotion the actress put into the lines. This video never gets old tho! Max0r has a gift

So... That was intense, not gonna lie. Max0rs editing always gives me a brain haemorrhage and I love it, its just so incredibly unique and oversaturated with crude jokes, memes and spot-on references. As a Genshin player, I love this video, and for context he made this video when you could only explore two nations, and now you can explore four. Yeah the lore can get crazy, but he was right about Ganyu chocking a monster to death after being eaten by it because she was rotund. And in regards to the Gacha system of getting characters, it does have a small pity unlike other Gachas, where if you haven't gotten a 5 star character in 80-90 pulls it will give you a guaranteed 5 star, but it's a 50/50 chance of being the banner character you're trying to get or a 5 star from the common banner, but if you lose the 50/50 you're next 5 star will be a Guaranteed banner character, and then it resets to 50/50

I really love the new schedule format it feels alot more flexible and allows to fulfill alot of requests at the same time less of having to pick and choose favorites. I have a recommendation that I hope you'll consider adding to that schedule it's a video called '' there will never be another melee player like hungrybox '' it's a bit of a step into an unfamiliar territory for you guys. And I guess you can do it on Friday. since it's technically related to a fighting game

6:03 Now we have 4 nationa. Mondstadt based on Germany, Liyue based on China, Inazuma based on Edo-period Japan and Sumeru based on South Asia.

When Max0r made this review, the game had Mondstadt and Liyue, Dragonspine and the Golden Apple Archipelago (ver 1) for the summer. Since then, Hoyoverse has added Inazuma, Enkanomiya, the Chasm, the GAA (ver 2) for last summer, Sumeru, and of course Dendro just generally, and the sweetest little turnip as that region's god. A lot has changed, but frankly not enough, since RNG is still the biggest factor and issue in the whole game. Don't rush, take your time. It's not worth an aneurysm to farm for an artifact with perfect stats. Especially if the game decides to roll into an off-stat. It's still a good open world game, and as Hoyo's first foray into that game type, a success. _Honkai Impact 3rd_ , meanwhile, still wears its mobile game genetics proudly on its sleeve, and at the same time, wows players with its combat, which is certainly the main focus. Some open world tech was tested in this game first, before being applied on a larger scale in _Genshin_ . But _HI3_ has far more challenging enemies and game modes, while _Genshin_ is being kept as Easy Mode. Different teams at Hoyo also handle each of its games, so different games get different treatment. Finally, Hoyo has since learned to have a multitude of projects running at the same time, each of a slightly different genre for a different audience. So for further examples, their upcoming releases, _Honkai: Star Rail_ and _Zenless Zone Zero_ are both open world games like _Genshin_ , however _HSR_ will feature turn-based combat like classic _Final Fantasy_ , and _ZZZ_ will be a roguelike. They also didn't forget about the ladies, with _Tears of Themis_ being a police procedural featuring a bunch of handsome men. So while other companies like Microsoft want to mimic _Genshin_ in particular, I think it's the diversifying business practices that Hoyo has up its sleeve that they should be copying. And Hoyo shows absolutely no signs of slowing down.

Been having a blast seeing your Max0r reactions! I'm honestly not sure if it would be better to watch the cutscenes of Rising first, or watch Max0r's Rising video first. If I had to pick, I would say Max0r first, simply because his video sparked a massive meme-centric focus on the game so many years after it came out to middling reviews. Lots of notable personalities all over the internet actually went back to play Rising simply due to the huge tidal waves of memes that Max0r helped to generate from the game. But that being said, now that we have corrupted these souls with knowledge of Max0r, our next objective is to bring in the cooking infomercials of Jaboody Dubs. Our quest begins this day!

this video of Max0r i have watched for at least a dozen times, its outdated as hell but so good and always makes me laugh. The english translation is actually very good wich suprised me in the beginning.

Would definitely recommend Oceaniz's 'The nature of Monster Hunter World series'. It's very well done and very interesting to learn about how a lot of the monsters work. Basically a MH nature documentary. That or literally any of Polygon's 'Unraveled' series.

The only two things I disagree with Max0r is that Genshin has an amazing story. I love the lore. And that the English Voice Acting is now amazing. Another thing, there are Dendro characters now.

Honestly, there are only 3 things Maxor said that are inaccurate or have aged poorly 1. Enemies die very quickly if you build well 2. Dendro is a playable element 3. The English Dub is great. Everything else is spot-on, to this day.

Honestly, as a player since day 1, I still find this video hilarious. Love the editing and everything, and of course, I love Maxor, his videos are great. However, many things he mentions aren't as optimal as they once were since, obviously, things change. This game grew so much during these past two years. Would love for him to make something like an updated review. And he definitely knows this as well, I saw him pulling for Nilou lol

Insanity aside, I really prefer the Japanese voice-over. They got some great VA's some who voiced known characters in anime. Not to say ALL of the english voices are bad, but some are kinda eh. Warframe and genshin makes me wanna put a gun to my head with how much I need to grind, and yet I’m compelled to grind, the taste of power is too tempting, with warframe, if I grind hard enough, I can become a walking war crime, with genshin, I can throw tones of rocks and turn them into paste and after that I can nuke them, while becoming invincible.

The best thing of this Abridged Summary is that, even if the games has evolved from when Max0r did it, some of the core components have remained. Chief among them, do not play it if you do not have patience, control, and an iron grip on your wallet to stop yourself from saying the words "I can spend a little" and "[Character X] is cute".

I briefly tried out Genshin because I'm a loser, rolled The Rock and Electric Autistic immediately. Got bored because nothing could beat The Rock. Never even discovered another part of the map because it just wasn't my thing. I became glad after watching this video.

As a day one player who logs in nearly every day, Max0r's review never fails to make me laugh. However, he definitely exaggerates some of the negatives for the sake of humor; there are some folks who see some of the flaws to be as egregious as he says they are, but it really depends on what you're looking to get out of the game. If you're familiar with any kind of "grind game" like Diablo, Warframe, Destiny, etc. where your primary goal is to kill things, to get loot, to get stronger, to fight stronger enemies, to get better loot, etc., that's what Genshin SEEMS like on the surface. However, it has a few fundamental changes in its design that make it less like that. The level/difficulty cap has not been raised since the game came out and while the Resin system does slow you down, after a certain point you don't NEED to keep getting stronger. The game is more-so designed to allow you to spend time getting new characters and leveling THOSE up, and as long as you're patient and can wait a bit to start playing them, the resin system is fine. That aside from, if you're ACTUALLY caught up on all content, the resin system does stop you from playing, but in a way, I find that to be a blessing because I'd like to have the time to do other things and not feel the need to spend more time griding. That said, many players don't like every aspect of the game and so a lot of them are not actually completely out of content. As a day one player, even I'm not fully caught up; I have tons of side quests to do, puzzles I've yet to solve, and lore to read. If you actually engage with the game fully and have actually caught up, you literally do nothing but play this game and you need to touch some grass. XD Again, though, the review is hilarious as someone who plays because I get the full context of the jokes and know what is accurate, what's exaggerated, and what's made up for the sake of a joke.
