Dysfunction in your gluteus maximus or gluteus medias can lead to pain, gluteus medius tendonitis, hip bursitis, anterior pelvic tilt, chronic lower back pain, and many other problems. It will also cause your posture to look weak. Stand with confident posture, improve your walking technique, gain better balance, and enhance your athletic performance by improving your understanding of your glutes and what can cause then to dysfunction. It's not all in the glutes. It also has to do with coordinating your glutes with your abdominal core muscles.
Sometimes tight hip flexors can prevent your from optimizing the use of your glutes by inhibiting their movement. Failure to properly use your lower abdominal muscles can also be mistaken for gluteal dysfunction. I will show you have to see the difference and coordinate these muscles better.
