You can't go wrong with Bighorn 2.0 tires, they are a fantastic all-around tire. You won't tear anything up if you're riding at a relaxed pace, unless you get stuck and must power your way out, but I think there would be minimal damage. You'll have all kinds of great grip with them, and you'll get lots of wear out of them too. I drive dirt roads if I must, but I'd rather be on trails. Don't let the videos fool you, most of our riding is trails. I don't always have my camera on when we ride trails because many viewers on RU-vid don't like watching us drive slowly so I'll cut in the parts where we were moving quicker and leave the slow stuff out. Watching the videos may give you the impression we are always driving 60-80 km/h but most of our riding is much slower. I think people should drive however they like as long as it's reasonable, safe, and respectful to others. People don't always agree on what's reasonable and safe though. I may drive faster than someone else on the same trail, but it certainly doesn't mean I'm driving in an unsafe manner. But I certainly have witnessed people driving too fast for specific trail conditions, driving beyond their abilities, and driving unsafe machines with bald tires, bad brakes etc. It's usually the same 1-3% of people. I don't think taking trails access away from most people that follow the rules is fair. The people tearing up trails are going to do it whether they're allowed on trails or not. I drove ATV's for a long time before buying my Commander. I drove those slower mostly because the centre of gravity is higher and they are not as stable as a SxS and there's no seat belt, or roll cage protecting a person. Even when I was driving my ATV's slower I always had fun. My side by side is not really that heavy. It's about 1400 pounds, much lighter than a Jeep. Driving a side by side is a much different experience than an ATV, and sometimes I miss driving them but there is too much convenience with a side by side for me to switch back. Being able to have another person and carry more gear easily is a bonus. Side by Sides are so much more stable and comfortable than an ATV you easily find yourself driving more quickly over the same terrain than you would drive an ATV over. There really is no comparison to driving a side by side and a motor vehicle like a Land Cruiser. I could drive my Commander over a rocky rutted road at 40 km/h where the Land Cruiser could only do 10 km/h without damaging it because the suspension is just not set up for that. @@EastCoastATV Thank you for your thoughtful response. My attitude is slightly different. I drive a light SxS not as a "big ATV," but as a "small 4x4." I have several reasons for this attitude. First, I can't really justify even an modern 4x4 ATV, they're just so ridiculous (When I was young, the Honda Big Red 250 was the really big machine!) Second, although you can't really "ride" a 4-wheel atv the way you could ride a 3-wheeler, it's not quite as limited as a SxS in terms of "body english" having a control input. Third, I'm not as physically able as I was once, and my passenger is usually geriatric, literally. So, cargo, not help, in so far as control or recovery is concerned. It's better for me to think, for the time being, that my little sxs is a "small jeep" rather than a "big ATV." This may change as my needs and capabilities do, but this is where I am now. Just now, I'm very annoyed that local shops don't provide some basic kit that would cost as much to ship as it would be to buy if I went online. The 36" Hi-Lift jack, for example. Or just about any Hi-Lift accessory, like mounting equipment, weather protection, or storage. I can buy 20 48" High-Lift jacks locally.... I already have one, for the afore mentioned Land Cruiser. I want a three foot Hi-Lift, the little storage box with a tree-saver, wd-40, other goodies, and the tube mount. Also, a 3 foot spade shovel, and a 3 foot ax, both with fiberglass handles and tool/metal covers. Not a hard ask, you'd think, right? Right? Ugh.

Shoot, I forgot to mention it. They are 6 ply as far as I know.

The Bighorn 2.0 is a six ply tire. Most stock tires are light weight unfortunately. I had a friend buy a set of Blackwater Evolutions and he hated them. He bought a new set before we went on a week trip and he had three flats during the week, all on the same tire. He replaced that one when we got home and he said the tires wore out really fast, and we mostly do trail riding on hard pack type trails. Sometimes getting a flat comes down to bad luck.

I would choose the 2.0. The 3.0 are loud on pavement.
