@@crazyflyboy30 you've been lucky.....80ft -lbs is way too tight for a M10X1.25 bolt, even a grade 12.9 M10X 1.25 torque is 64 ft-lbs per standardized torque values...and I doubt polaris uses 12.9 wheel studs.
@@PeeterPuncher my owner's manual said 75 ft-lbs so I over do everything so I been doing 80 ft-lbs with no problem and my wheels have been off and back on over 10 times has I worked on it alot. Just checking out everything, upgrades, greasing wheel bearings and new tires.
My Sportsman XP 1000 has 4 disc brakes and you can add the other disc brake if you want to spin the money. And the tires I got was ITP XTR 27x11x14 on all 4 on 4 OEM 7.5x14 rear rim's .
@@markmark3122 I love the Sportsman XP 1000 and love the XTR the traction is unreal I tested it on a dangerous steep rocky hill in 2 wheel drive and it made fine and I did it 2 times just made sure .Then I was taking to some guy with SXS at the top of the hill and when I told them I come up the steeper way in 2 wheel drive on a Sportsman don't know if they really believe me because they said that they don't even go that way because it's tough and late on I got another laugh has some other guys who was riding by in SXS then turning another tail we all hollered where you going he replied "don't go that way it's too rough "LOL
@@RaztechPowersports thank you! I didn’t realize that the Bighorn 2.0 tires were lightweight versions and only 6 ply radials. I’m shopping for replacement tires now. I’m a tree farmer and drive over “slash” all of the time. A puncture waiting to happen as far as I can tell.
@@chipsterb4946 For your application you need to look at a heavier grade tire like a Roctane. But they will ride rough (you can practically run them with zero psi lol)
@@RaztechPowersports if I can bug you a moment - how would you compare the Rocktanes S3 XTR370 tires in terms of toughness? Performance in mud? I would try to contact you via FaceBook but I deleted all social media accounts except RU-vid a while ago.
How wide are your rims? I found this exact set of tires for my 2015 scrambler 1000 but my rims are 14x5.5 and 14x7.5 , I’m thinking they will be too narrow. Any info would be great. Thank you.
@@RaztechPowersports you were right! Installed 27x11/9R14 on scrambler stock rims with zero issues. No rubbing and looks beast now. THANK YOU so much, appreciate your help. Sub’d 👍
@@RaztechPowersports thank you for replying! I juts put these same tires on my Honda pionner 1000 I put 10 psi in them But on the road the tires where squealing like there wasn’t enough tire pressure so I put 13 psi in all 4 and it seems a lot better on the road. Is 10 psi on these usally for when your going of road or on trails and do you think it’s okay to do 13 when on the road and 10 psi when off road on trails / mud.
@@RaztechPowersports Thanks for your Reply that makes sense that it would put more pull out on the studs with less torque and it could just been a bad stud. I know for sure that can am wheel studs are 100% crap I saw a lot of video of them braking them like crazy one guy said and another video he had a wheel fall off.
Those don’t look to bad , but the big horn knock offs on my 19 XP 1000 Premium have grown to be ugly to me . For my personal taste only I’ve always liked skinny’s alway around . I like smooth flush lines and angles . I actually liked the way that stock 850 looks far more than the bumpers and way to wide rear tires look on my 1000. Had a lot of atvs over the years , all major brands except Suzuki . My last Polaris was a 98 sportsman 500. It fell apart around the Fuji 500 engine . The fact it took until 2020 For Polaris to finally use sealed compressed bushings is beyond disturbing . If Kawasaki would have get off their butts and have made a 1000 Brute , this xp wouldn’t be here lol. I do love the ride and low end power but it tails off pretty quick , and I can’t stand the front end push and feels like it needs a pasture to turn around in. My three brutes were far more nimble , but obviously not as plush .
