Mia Goth and Ti West's horror trilogy ends here, in a blaze of sleazy glory, with "MaXXXine." Following "X" and "Pearl" from 2022, this final film finds Goth's Maxine character working as an adult film actress in 1980s Hollywood, but dreaming of greater fame. She'll do whatever she must to be a star, even as her friends are being killed all around her and the Night Stalker is on the loose in Los Angeles. One of us likes this movie a lot more than the other. Written and directed by West. Co-starring Elizabeth Debicki, Kevin Bacon, Bobby Cannavale, Michelle Monaghan, Giancarlo Esposito and Lily Collins. In theaters July 5.
