President Kennedy and Mrs. Kennedy are met at Orly Airport in Paris by President Charles de Gaulle upon their arrival for a 3 day state visit. In a pre-luncheon meeting at the Élysée Palace, Kennedy and de Gaulle discuss Berlin and express a "complete identity of view" on readiness to meet with force any Soviet threat to the city. After lunch both leaders meet again to discuss Southeast Asia and Africa.
President Kennedy is given a reception at the Quai d'Orsay.
President Kennedy lays a wreath and relights the flame at the tomb of the unknown soldier in ceremonies at the Arc de Triomphe.

Yes. The Q is just the official hood ornament on De Gualle’s luxury car, the Citroen DS 21 Presidentielle.

Jacki spoke fluent French and some Spanish and De Gaul spoke surprisingly good English and some German. Not sure about JFK though; I suspect he had a bit of Latin and perhaps some German.

@@LadyPashta I actually have two pictures of him with President Trump before he passed earlier this year but I can’t seem to copy and paste here. I know it’s hard to believe but he had a clone there that day.
