Watching Maya grow up throughout degrassi is so hard. She was so happy in next gen and I feel like she felt like Eli when he said he ‘carried death’ with him after he found cam.

Maya's depression began with Cam. They were truly so sweet together. Zaya was so toxic and I didn't like it. He was manipulative, and I am glad they aren't together, but heartbroken about what happened to Maya. She is truly a great character

I like kinda hated Maya at first over time I came to love her so much and this is my fav Maya cause I can relate so much I love when shows make things very personal and about real world things not just random over dramatic tv and movie shit

the fact that zig helped push cam over the edge still pisses me off

I cried tbh

I feel bad for maya and when i feel depressed, lonely makes me feel like something I've been struggling with depression and anxiety

Is anyone still rooting for zaya and absolutely hates 'Zesme'

maya is one of my favorite characters even tho she was annoying asf sometimes

She became so relatable

I do believe Zig did do some toxic things in the relationship but he always apologised and that time apart made them grow as people and I'm happy they were confirmed endgame coz I loved them from their very first scene together

I hope the writes give zaya a second chance 😩

Spoiler alert- on season 4 ZAYA is back!Also when first watching this, I thought she was going to go out like Cam did in suicide so I was rooting for Zam too...

For me Esme is an interesting character. The things she does or says is awful and mean sometimes, but she immediate reaction of seeing someone hurt/drying was to help out in anyway she could. Even tho she didn’t like Maya at all, but she still had that reaction of helping. I don’t think she’s a general a terrible person, she’s awful and mean definitely, but not a bad person. ( if you understand what I mean.) and I believe she had an illness that made her act out (bipolar disorder I believe) such made her character more difficult to understand, because she doesn’t know what she does Half the time since she doesn’t take anything to help with that. ( that I could remember at least. ) Still doesn’t really give her the right to be mean all the time, but she can’t really be to blame for all of it. Especially when she’s in her ‘episodes’ ( for example: in the end of season 4 of the Next class. I believe she was in a episode and wasn’t thinking or acting. )
