its both rlly at the time when maya first sang it, it was about her being freed from her life and getting death finally but she got better and it became a song about freeing yourself from drama and thing holding you down so that you can finally be happy (moving on with your life)

Maya's storyline in Next Class after season 2 was so heartbreaking to watch but I really enjoyed how they did it. I wish the show had more seasons. It was crazy how many parallels there were between her and Cam from when he committed suicide to when she tried doing it herself

I’ve been watching Degrassi since I was 10 years old and I still love it I am 21 just finished watching Degrassi next class for the second time on Netflix I might just watch it all over again and what I mean by all over again I might watch Degrassi next generation from season one to season 14 and then watch Degrassi next class from season one to season four again I love Degrassi. It is really made me who I am it is help me grow and I love it so much I relate to a lot of the characters in the show and I love that they made a show that can relate to a lot of people

This song isn't even necessarily about suicide. It may just means that she needs to change. Be different. "I need to breathe" a sign that she wants to live but doesn't know how to deal with it. I'm a song writer and honestly I want my music to mean this much to people

It's about suicide. The lines "it's my last exit to freedom, my last chance to be free" and "a light only i can see". Many suicidal people feel like suicide will make all their problems go away, and that it's the only out they have. Suicide is the only way they can be "free"

I played this song the day I departed to Denver Colorado from Houston Texas to spend a month with my dad. It was truly the best month of my life and I'm sad it had to end but I'll be back in 4½ months. Cant wait to be with my dad again.

seriously i can not stop listening to this song i listened to it last night and been listening to it all morning and normally during school i just shuffle my play list but i keep replaying her song!!
