Yeah they admitted that they had Tim sing in his higher register to showcase Chance's bass singing just to make everyone go: What the hell? What's going on?
How many people do you know, personaly that can hit all of Tim's low notes and then turn around and bust out some of the high notes he hit in this song.
i'm not concerned with how they dress.......Home Free guys are much better looking and have purer voices, IMHO.........i don't judge a book by it's cover.....LOL
@@cindyshawver9986 Tim Foust said it not I. Remember he and Avi and Austin are fairly friendly and all live in Nashville now. Tim is still not into the whole "dress up" part of the business if you watch any of the experience videos of getting ready for the CMAs for example. 🙂

@@cindyshawver9986 well I prefer Avi myself from Pentatonix and the appearance of any of them Pentatonix or Homefree is a bit beside the point. I have heard quite a few high tenors over the years but very few basses. They are a bit rare you know. The unicorns in this case are Avi and Tim. Going high is something people don't realize they can do. Just like Tim in Mayday people were shocked when Avi sang higher in his solo work. Geoff can of course get fairly high as well.
@@gailseatonhumbert9199 omg, Geoff is a damn beast when it comes to singing......he's my fav Voiceplay singer, Mitch for PTX and Austin for HF.....even though i love them all, i do have my favs. I love Avi too, he's so smooth.

Hey Jase, this is a cover by the pop singer Cam. So glad you enjoyed this one by Home Free. It's also outside of their "country" comfort zone....they are quite diverse ! Please react to their latest which is a very warm & heart tender original song written by Auston Brown, the lead singer, and the song is "Warmest Winter". It's really stunningly beautiful, as the harmonies are off the charts !
You realize acapella groups stood like that before boy bands ever even thought about it. And they changed up the different singing parts to show how talented they all are. Pay attention!

The entire group singing in a higher register [like the Original Version] rather than making the Arrangement entailing a lower/expected register, is what makes this version even more enjoyable.
This is one of those we Home Fries like reactors to see after Ring of Fire because of the range Tim sings in this one, and Chance does the bass at the end. This is such a great portrayal of their diversity. Tim doesn't sing ANY bass in this song. It's all Chance! They're just a group of insanely talented men! Each one on their own is a force to be reckoned with, together... the sky is the limit! Great reaction as always! ❤
Never heard this before but it is awesome. A new favorite for me. These men all have amazing ranges. Especially like Rob and his beard and glasses. (I wish my beard was as good as you two.) Rob had the part of the gopher when they performed "I'm All Right" from Caddushack in the Sing Off.
This is originally sung by a country artist called Cam - interestingly, Home Free chose to sing it in the same key as she sings it in, hence the higher-than-usual range for them.
Cam's(Female county singer) original was pretty good but I love HF's version. Also it's in the same key as Cam. I think Home Free loves to mess with their fans ...in a good way. All the guys are so versatile.
Jase, I just found your channel. I love watching people react to both PTX and Home Free. Both groups have absolutely stellar talent. I'm sad that Avi left PTX, but their new bass singer is very decent. And although I do enjoy hearing Tim down in the basement register of sound, I think Avi is a "cleaner" bass than Tim. Now, that being said. You should check out and react to Home Free - "Elvira" Featuring The Oak Ridge Boys. It is another of those showcases of the different registers, as well as an homage to the original singers of the song.......As Elvira was originally done by The Oak Ridge Boys. I hope to see the reaction, and many others! Also, you don't have to react to the video, since it's a live recording, but Home Free does another version, letting Tim take the lead with a "bass" song of Josh Turner's "Your Man." It is comedic as well as epic.
Rob has been letting loose more and more lately. Some incredible runs and very soulful riffs... I likey... As I am sure someone has mentioned that Chance was the bass in his last group, and this song just highlights, both Chances bass, and Tim's higher range so well, and Rob with his higher range a well, and hose incredible runs...
If you’re interested in getting a full serving of Chance’s bass, I have a feeling you’d like the cover of Muse’s “Madness” that he did with his previous group, Street Corner Symphony. I only recently found it myself and it’s kind of incredible.
Tim, Avi and Geoff Castelluci, the big 3 famous a cappella bass singers, have extraordinary singing ranges. Tim has 5 octaves. Crazy. To give you an idea Avi and Geoff are at 4 and most people have a 2 octave range. Homefree specifically got Chance in so Tim was not stuck down at the bass line all the time. As for this location. It has good acoustics. Standing around is a bass thing to stay on key. More difficult for them. And dancing around can screw up what all the singers are doing with their breathing together in the song. It is shocking that Tim can do this and it is literally discussed worldwide.
@@elizabethhostetter1946 harder for bass singers to stay on key yes. You will notice sometimes he covers 1 ear the better to check just on his own voice and making sure he stays on key. Standard tactic for a bass.
@@gailseatonhumbert9199 oh, yeah. and low altos. the group i was in was never amplified, but i know when i was doing drones or low harmonies it's a *feel* rather than sound and you have to cover an ear to be sure.

Chance is the bass thumping on this one . He probably cant go as low as Tim but close and smoother than anyone of them except maybe Austin. Man Austin's got solos out there that are great.!
Aw Tim was just showing off his 5 octave range and letting Chance go low. If you want to hear bass try Folsom Prison Blues where both Chance and Tim go low. (Tim has since cut his hair and has a gray streak so he looks different). Also one of my favorite songs of theirs which shows low registers is I Can’t Outrun You. So good. Guess that the "boyband" setup, is how the video can get a closer full band wiew, in context to them standing in a line. That is also when group photos are taken with a short line, standing in front of eathoter, and not in a single line. It would be hard to se the details (in their faces), with a single lineup. So in fact, boyband lineup, is all for the fans, to enjoy them all, at the same time, without getti'n their faces blured, or minimized.
Chance is on the bass line this whole song ...i heard a audio interview with Tim as the special guest and he said Chance has a huge range just like he does...Chance sang bass with his former group 7th street symphony prior to joining Homefree..all around Homefree has got to be the best vocal group i have ever heard...even beating out ptx and voiceplay...i like them all but Homefree is my number 1 pick
I like hearing chance go low. While not as impressive as Tim( with some more work I'm sure it can be) hearing Tim go high is nice and refreshing as well
