Miracle Whip is not mayonnaise. It’s water, sugar and starch. Yuk. It’s mainly a Midwest and southern thing. Rarely seen or sold in California or Connecticut where I live, and the good stores don’t even sell it.
Hellman's in the West USA is labeled BEST FOODS, Best Foods and Hellmann's are brand names for the very same line of mayonnaise products. They've simply retained separate branding since 1932,
I hate Dukes and Kewpie... Blue Plate is the best! and i do really mean dukes and kewpie are so so so nasty to my tastebuds... kewpie is worse than Dukes but still both are nasty!
I've tried Dukes....but I still prefer Hellman's. Dukes has a bit more 'bite' while Hellman's just seems a bit softer in taste. Everyone has different taste buds. :)
Hellman's has gotten worse. The favor and consistency changed back around 2020. I've switched to Duke's because it tastes like what I remember Hellman's being back when it was good.
Dukes was my favorite til I tried Kewpies a couple months ago. Surprised you didn't like it. I LOVE it. It's my new favorite. Don't give up on Kewpies. 😜
I've tried different brands and find that Kraft is my favorite because it's the closest to what the original mayo tastes like, the other brands add ingredients to make it their own, What's to call it Ranch or Blue cheese dressing , I love Mayo and Kraft is #1 if you want mayo and not some Spin off !! 🤘🤘

my mom made me only eat kraft mayo and i hated it... could only stand a bit of it... then my grandparents said try this mayo instead... it was Duke's and I said... way way worse than Kraft.... then Grandpa said.. try this special one... and I was like... wow... this is so so so GREAT! What is it! He said a real deep south Mayo called Blue Plate! It is still the best even with all the other inventions in mayo these days! Duke's and Kewpie SUCK
Great video! I grew up on Hellmann’s I’ve always use Hellmann’s. I tried Dukes like six years ago didn’t really care for it . They were out of Hellmann’s when I ordered my groceries and I can’t stand kraft mayonnaise, so I ordered Dukes. Honestly, I still like Hellman’s, but Dukes has something in it that I really would like! My taste buds might’ve changed, But Dukes is the winner for me, and I find that I use less of it because it has more flavor to me. Tomorrow I make tunafish that’ll be the ultimate decision maker but I have a feeling it’ll be Dukes! Lol thanks for a fun video

Well, this was very interesting to watch!! Thank you very much I was a bit disappointed, as I thought you were going to test for the healthiest, mayonnaise or let us know which was the healthiest!!! And the different oils that are used to make it!! Which I am very aware of and have been for a long time… I wouldn’t buy any of those!! Because they are usually made with hydrogenated, soybean oil, not expeller, pressed, and not good for anyone!! I would go with the healthy mayonnaise that they sell in Costco or at Costco, made with avocado oil!! oh, it is called Chosen!!!! My son bought me my first jar here recently, which I have been using!! Before that I would try and get Veganaise which is a very healthy brand that is not made with avocado oil, but expeller pressed canola oil… It tastes, so good!!! Even better tasting to me than this, chosen!! But I won’t go back to the Veganaise being that this Chosen is healthier!!! Thank you very much! ❤
I do like Duke's also! But do not mind at all having McCormick's made with lime juice as a change of pace. Thank you to all of the Cheaps for another fun video!

Hi from Riverside California ♥️ yaaaaaay DUKE'S WON🥇🏆👏👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣 I just started buying Duke's this month ( November) and so far half the jar is gone in 2 week's 😂 I grew up on Kraft's Mayo & Best Food's. I can't stand Kraft's Mayo lol and I was on Best Food's for years as an adult till my stomach couldn't take it anymore, so I switched to DUKE'S and so far I'm ok with it. I want to try the new one you have on the table from Japan.

I had never heard of Dukes until I started watching a lot of the southern woman cooking on youtube and they all love it and say you can't have may on unless it's Dukes, so I tried and I love it. I was always a Kraft person the miracle whip though and the light. Now I use Dukes and even though it's more expensive, I watch for sales so I can get a few each time.
For those that may not know... Hellman's is known as Best Foods on the West Coast. Same company, same product, just different label. Duke's is almost non-existent on the West Coast.
Really? In upstate NY I have never seen dukes in any grocery store. I'm a 33 yr old wife and mom of 3 and I go grocery shopping at least once a week. I buy mayo for my family (I hate all mayo especially kewpie). Have yet to see Dukes ever. I do look for it cause I'm curious for my kids to try it.
Man, I am not a mayo snob and I'll eat or try all brands any day. However, given that all of these are similar in price, if you have Dukes in your area, it is the only choice. It would be like going to a fine wine shop and for the very same price, you could choose a rare 1968 vintage Bordeaux wine from France (that is Dukes) or you could choose some random grocery store brand wine (all of the others, Helmanns, or whatever) for around the same price or less. It's not even close.
Hellmans for me personally. I just did a blind taste off between Best Foods (Hellmanns) and Dukes. Hellmanns was more tangy from my point of view. I found Dukes to be rather bland.
Duke's is made in my hometown. 😋 My grandma only ever uses it and I have adopted her taste. Although, McCormick mayonesa con limon works in a bind. My mayo can't have any sugar.
Duke's sucks so so bad.. it is so so nasty in my opinion... Give me a real Southern Mayo in Blue Plate! Best Mayo ever is Blue Plate... but I do like Hellman's over the nasty Duke's, Kraft and the worst ever which is Kewpie!
@@dublindog8038 My palette is well adapted to Duke's. 😋 I love the vinegar tang. I've never had Blue Plate; I might try if I see it in stores. I've tried all of the mainstream American brands and 🤢. I haven't tried kewpie, however, the ingredients list does not sound appetizing.

I used to think Kraft was shit. I was raised on hellmans, and love it still. However I just converted to Kraft because the store was out of my preferred brand. The Kraft Mayo is now my preferred Mayo for sandwiches, just has that deli consistency and flavor that I love. Hellmans is great and Dukes I never cared for
Im chilean and we love mayo!! At home i use to be a fan of hellmanns.. but now that i live in nz im a real fan of the japanese brand!!! It’s different.. that. Thanks 🤣😂
The Kewpie mayonnaise in this video isn't the same as the Japanese formula. You need to find the squeeze bottle. That's the original Kewpie imported from Japan. And it's hands down my favorite! Next would be Duke's mayo. The rest are just... meh. Miracle whip is 🤢.

I agree Duke’s is great. But I wish you tried Kraft HomeStyle. You tried the regular Kraft which is just ok. Kraft Homestyle is made with more eggs, is yellower, thicker, and tastes great.
@@dublindog8038 Kraft makes 12 different mayos. Their rich and creamy beats all those you mentioned. They probably don’t sell it where you live based on the brands you rattled off. They only sell it in high-end stores.

I've been eyeballing Dukes for a few years now. Everyone in my house insists Hellmans is the best and I dare not bring anything else home. I'm gonna sneak & buy some Dukes and make some potato salad with it. We won't know if we don't try it.

I hate Dukes and Kewpie... Blue Plate is the best! and you said not everyone can afford Kewpie... I have never ever ever tasted a grosser Mayo that made me puke than Kewpie... What a snob you are to think paying more for Mayo makes it better and people are missing out... no they aren't if they don't want to puke on the nasty nasty nasty nasty Kewpie... I threw away the whole thing... it was that bad! What a mistake for listening people who think things taste better because it is rarer.... Give me Blue Plate any day! don't kick it until you have tastes it. Máybe learn to mix ketchup with mayonnaise. Some European mayo is delicious. I do the same for my ham and old aged cheese sandwiches with green onions. I do use Belgian mayo as it's cheaper and creamier in the Netherlands than Helmans. Mmm another good thing is taking a few garlic cloves, and squishing in your garlic press, and adding this garlic paste to your mayo with some red onions, about to three table spoons of mayo. Mix this and add to your tuna sandwich or hamburger. Life.

Great vid! Am I the only person that thinks Dukes tastes like a cheese food product? I don’t get all the hype. If you had Blue Plate in that lineup you’d probably have a new winner!
