I want to nominate Tim Collins as my #MazdaHero. Tim is a retired Eureka Springs, AR firefighter and ground paramedic, a retired flight medic from Air Evac Lifeteam (base #4) and a retired Carroll County, AR 911 dispatcher. He has spent his entire life a public servant always putting others first before his own wants and needs. When we moved to Florida, we assumed that that public service would be his legacy. We had no idea that he had one more life to save, that of Chet McGill. Chet and Tim met by chance while Chet was on daily dialysis. None of Chet's family were a match. The moment Tim found out, he asked Chet where he needed to apply to help. Tim was found to be a match and on March 27, 2019, Tim donated his kidney to Chet. Today they are both healthy, happy men with full lives who have formed a beautiful bond. Tim has been and always will be the hero of whatever community he lives in.
