So you mentioned that you're getting 3-5 grams of retention... but looking at your scale at the end, you got it to 19.7 so only .3 grams off. is the rest of the coffee stale coffee from a previous brew? even with the bellow? Cheers, great video. I just got a 2nd hand mazzer mini very cheap here and am doing this exact mod to it :)
hey, our bad, it's supposed to be .3 to .5 grams of retention :) Happy so far with the mod. The only problem that I have after using it for almost 5 months is with the bellow. It's starting to break most likely due to the quality of material used in the 3D printing process. Keep us updated with your mod!
Just changed the doser to a single doser, the older doser I had to cut two wires in order to remove the old doser and now the grinder does not turn on? Was I not suppose to do that? I have the same doser as you with the 3-D print…
Hey great video. Can you please link that actual design you used from Thingiverse. Many thanks from UK

Is it applicable for Mazzer mini A ? Which has the funnel and a push button to grind.. my problem is the retention of the coffee in the funnel (chamber)
Thanks for the vid! When it comes to retention, it would help if you get a small spritz / spray bottle and lightly mist some water over the beans. This method (RDT) should reduce static, and eliminate a lot of retention. So if you’re getting .3g retention now, you’ll probably get .1 or .0g after RDT.
It's in the description already (let me know if there is anything missing) or if you are based in the Philippines you can also check JP Prints of Las Pinas 😊
It looks like you meant to say 3-5 tenths* of a gram of retention. That’s what the scale was reading. Three to five full grams seems more in line with what I’m getting with the full doser! 😅 Really stunning job you did! Can’t wait to upgrade mine, but I might just eat the 200 bucks tbh. Not sure where I could access a decent 3D printer.
ooh you are right, we missed that part :) not sure where you are located, but there are so many shops here in the Philippines offering 3D printing services. You just need to share the file from the description of this video. Hope this helps!
