I have yet to find another ADHD med that works well for me. I started with Adderall, which was amazing and how I was finally diagnosed. Apparently if you aren’t ADHD Adderall doesn’t work like it did for me. I have an appointment this week. We’ll discuss the med I’m currently on and how it is or is not working…
Maybe I will get to test a new med.
And on a different topic I am really thinking I may be on the ASD spectrum. When you realize that I have always liked using salad forks to the exclusion of any other fork. The forks are smaller (more petite) , they have curves and a symmetric shape… they are generally prettier than the dinner fork counterpart. It’s not that I can’t use a dinner fork… but when I do, I spend every bite thinking about how rigid, stiff, formless, and straight the tines feel in my mouth or on my lips when I close my mouth around the stabbed food to release it from the unfeeling fork. … hah! And that realization opens the path to other similar realizations. And could all that mental energy trying to “deal with” the stupid utensil contribute to an agitated mood?
Often I have not known why I’m crying or what I’m upset about. But maybe it’s overwhelm? Of one sort or another.
But I don’t know what I’m talking about, I’m just typing thoughts without edits.
Oh, right, this is a description about a harp recording! Oy vey. I should vacuum the carpet. Season changing dog hair. I warned my grandfather about the dangers of the word “should”. Should is a way to make yourself feel bad about not doing something. Try it. “I should go to the gym” means “ain’t nobody got time for that!” But it’s much less powerful and in either case, I’m not going to the gym! lol.
