MC-130H Combat Talon II, C-130J Super Hercules and Boeing E-767 Aircraft during RED FLAG Alaska 

Used to load flares on MC-130s at hurlburt field fla back in the eighties!! Was a weapons mechanic on 16th so AC-130s, 8th sos MC130s and 20th sos HH-53s! Great times, I look at these airmen today and I think, enjoy your time serving your country and make lots of memories and friends!!! I look at you guys and wish I could still be a part of the special ops family!!! It's been 40 yrs since I went to boot camp!!!! I'm proud to be an air force vet!!!!

They were flying C-130's back in 1967 when I was stationed at the Marine Air Base on Okinawa. They were so heavy with cargo when they took off that they mounted rockets on them to give them enough speed to lift off the runway.

The MC-130 is the best!

Flew into Eielson many years ago with C-130A models. The USAF hasn't changed much in all those years.

I'm of the opinion of making an exoskeleton for the bird and make it dirt simple by nocking another door directly across from the foward man door where heavy duty connection to the airframe can be easily accessible to the apparatus necessary for becoming the front and maybe the bow/keel's front attachment for mobile pylons. The tailgate removed and it's temporary replacement is part of the "keel" that runs forward, being able to fold up into the airframe's length with apparatus necessary for attachments and controls. Paramount is to get the most floatation with the most amount of areodynamic improvement to the mother airframe. This is a first stage aircraft clamped by a second, parasite stage in a third wing configuration of which would significantly add to or surpass the original capacities and performance of the mother craft it is commanded/controlled by. The addition of an exoskeleton frame aircraft that clamps onto all three doors and the JTOW mountings, and wing mounts, adds it's own beneficial power, it's own benefitial aerodynamics, and floats. It's a drive over platform of a compartmentalized pontoon joining down the center line from either side and clamp up two big fan jets across from each other on hinges joined through the front doors is the best and easiest way to get a wet bird out of a 130. Give your kids a project with the Legos or your brother that has the new laser printer or your uncle that works for DARPA a shot at it. I'm of extremely high confidence of the robust economics wise as well because of the fact that this airframe is a tractor that has many implements and we should have the capability of upengineering older hardware like this with the latest in airborne robotics technology, some lessons of which have been taught by the osprey but not brought back to use on the 130 where the advantage of an already known stable platform wasn't taken advantage of. At one time it was attempted to add additional engines but not with an entirely independent floating sub airframe, sadly it failed killing the crew. In their honor I think they should try it again this time make an independent amphibious robotic parasite craft that is easily swapped on and off for the changing missions of the basic aircraft as well as the secondary craft.
