These goofy ass rules only apply to hood folks and rappers when traveling becuase us normal people aren't checking in. Our ancestors didn't fight and die just for some street folks to start opressing us now.
lol exactly. "checking in" don't even work because the people you "check in" with got enemies too. just get real security and move legally forget all the street politic stuff
@@jackjill8129 Yeah it’s cuz it’s ultimately a conflict of interest for street rappers tryna still play the fence and be “street” That’s why they rather tap in with some gangbangin azz niggaz than some former Navy Seals 😂😂😂
Shut your ass up. A thousand sanctimonious fucks like you thinking your better than someone else based off some life decisions. Always worried about the next man.
Respect is respect. It's not even about letting someone know you're in their city. If everyone had a greater understanding and appreciation of respect half the shit happening in our own community, this country, the world wouldn't be happening. It's not even about gangs. And it's going to get worse because not only is the respect going the way of the Dodo but so has shame. So people really need to pay attention more so because when no one has any respect or shame about them, they'll do anything for any dumbass reason.
It's a sad state our black people are in that so much violence is attached to so many communities to the point you can't even visit a place and grab some chicken in peace.
@@Malibukenn you missed the point. He knows the hoods of LA and other parts of this country are not "playgrounds" - that's the sad state of affairs. There shouldn't be any places where black people gather that aren't reasonably safe to go eat some chicken in broad daylight.
@@J2theK but people know how to be respectful and cautious in all these other hood outside of LA. But Get clapped in a hood in LA, everybody wants to shed tears. LA hoods are just as dangerous as all of these other places. Have that same level of respect when you are in LA hoods. Is all I’m saying.
@@realwithself5159 I was just about to post something similar. A lot of these so called rappers with “opps” claim to be rich and stocked but they’re not. They’re broke and have no future.
He most definitely has. I had that similar thought yesterday while watching one of the other vids. But thatz why I've been rockin wit' Eiht since way back with CMW. He's a real G and keeps it 💯.
This is one of the main reasons I stay away from the streets and bad neighborhoods. If I constantly have to watch my back and look in the rearview mirror I'm not going. I also don't need to " check in " with anyone where I go. That's street and hood shit . The only people I'm checking in with is the hotel reservation staff and dinner reservations at the front desk .
@@33GLOCK true but let's be honest .Some places you have to watch your surroundings far more than others Not even the safest environments are guaranteed to be 100 percent crime free but your chances of ending up in a bad situation are far less than an environment that is known to have issues
People have forgotten what big chains was supposed to represent. It started as a way for street guys to flex how respected they are. They were inviting trouble but they felt they were too connected or tough for anyone to actually try to rob them. So it's crazy that these rapper are shocked when they find themselves in these situations.
Paul Strathren that sounds like something a jealous person would say what are you talking Rappers work hard to get that jewelry I'm wearing what I want to wear smh If Late Great Nipsey Hussle born and raised in Los Angeles wasn't safe at his store then nobody that goes to LA is safe smh I have no desire to go to LA they don't look out for each other
@@darnellwilliams8783 I'm not saying that they don't have the RIGHT to wear it. It's their property and, yes, they work hard to get what they got. I'm just saying that in some settings it's not wise. I have shirts that I like in different colors. One is red, one is orange, and one is blue. I have the legal 'right' to wear my orange shirt while strolling through Rolling 60s territory. Assuming that you had my best interest at heart, would you advise me to exercise that particular right? Likewise, would you advise me to wear my favorite blue shirt in Inglewood?
People don't realize how deep & intricate the gang culture is in LA - just cuz you stay clear of Compton or South Central don't mean you good. There's people in every area of LA who are related to someone in a gang, or are affiliated with someone from the hood, or who are on patrol for their set so they out there observing & reporting back....
@@karlitosway7474 not exactly, but just varying degrees as was said by my man -- there are many neighborhoods where you won't see gangbangers either because the cops do their best to keep them out of certain neighborhoods, or many OGs have learned to assimilate & stay DL...However, there's is somebody in every area of LA who is related to or connected back to someone in the hoods...that's why you can easily get set up just arriving at the airport flossing or flexing. Somebody's cousin-in-law who works the desk at the airport makes a call back to the hood. Or you in a restraunt & somebody who used to be down with a gang spots you out & drops a contact. And it's not just Crips & Bloods -- LA county as a whole got like 500 diffferent gangs & sets
Right! Main place tourist go to is hollywood boulevard & there be gang members out there on the main strip & back streets lurkin, lookin for a come up.
Welcome to Earth. Y’all sound dumb than a MF. Nevermind “The Man sitting back laughing” *this is REALITY, be On Point* all of “Our People” are *NOT OUR PEOPLE*

Bruh I'm a grown man I'm not checking in with nobody I get in handle my business and get out and if I decide to enjoy the town ima be strapped if you don't know me don't run up you gotta stay ready I'm lighting ya ass up 🤷
you think blacks the only ones gettin robbed ? you better look up the news even white folks gettin it ... they aint gotta checc in we going to Beverly hills ... so watch your mouth ...
Everybody is a target out here. People get robbed in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, etc in broad daylight, for their belongings, on a consistent basis.
I think of the crabs 🦀 in a bucket theory when I listen to guy’s like him talk about having to live like that in a free country it’s sad to listen to 😢
@@lefty206 get the fuck out of here. Leave trash, violent cities like LA and go to like, idk, coastal Oregon. You'll never have these problems. At some point you have to quit crying about what was done to you, and do for yourself
Im from Philly. Been to LA 4x. And every time ive gone i go through Compton, Watts, South Central, Inglewood and Pasadena. Never had an issue. But whats crazy is most of those times i was all by myself. But i move so low key crooks not even really noticing me
"And they say it's the white man I should fear But, it's my own kind doin' all the killin' here" Tupac Shakur "Use your brain, use your brain It ain't them that's killin' us it's US that's killin' us It ain't them that's knockin' us off, it's US that's knockin' us off" Makaveli
tired of seeing that lame ass lyrics ... takes the attention of the violence that was already here before blacks showed up ... by the numbers whites have been the most dangerous in this country LOOK IT UP ... idk what drugs pac was smoking
Oh MC Eiht knows what it is, he use to be out in NYC back in the early 90s. I saw him on Fulton Street near Albee mall back then. Then a few months later he appeared in Wu Tang - Can it be all simple video.
Be aware of where you are. Simple. Don’t be stopping at corner stores and gas stations for snacks and all that. Go from point A to point B. Especially when passing through people’s hood. This ain’t Atlanta, this ain’t DC. This is LA.
I never hear people bragging about being “dolo” on O Block. I never hear anyone bragging about being “dolo” in East Atlanta, I never hear anyone bragging about being “dolo” in Brox New York but people feel the need to brag about being “dolo” in LA. I don’t understand it, I really don’t.
Check in the way he explained it, yeah. I do this just to let a person I'm there and I'm rocking with them. I do this almost subconsciously. But a forced Check in? Nah bro, we can get money but we ain't getting down for no kind of exhortation game.
Baby ward, does this apply to a white man who can wear all the jewelry and red and blue that he wants. A white man don't have to watch a damm thing because they will welcome him but blow a black mans damm brains out for the same shit the white man has on.🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤔🤔🤔ignorance BEYOND comprehension
Why dont classical pianists, opera singers and rock musicians need to check in when they tour? I've never heard of Metalica or Jewel or Briney Spears needing to check in anywhere besides a hotel 🤣
@@sadiqqdaoud4210 yea. Children in older bodies trying to seem relevant. That shit gay to me. Go teach somebody something thats what they should do but they still glorify gang culture wearing the same colors they wore gang banging
Exactly. This is why I don't deal with the hood and street crowd . I will let my relatives know I'm in town out of respect and even then not all need to know , just immediate family . Otherwise I don't need another grown man to demand me to check in .
I'm from the south and I tapped in to my homies from LA. I couldn't just go out there on some here I am shit. I got up with the right people and it was respectful and a cool visit.
That's because you're a NIGGA that's the things that you worry about notice how white people don't have to worry about these things. And other white people don't look at this disrespect.
Man, I'm telling you, Martin and Malcolm are turning in the graves at what black men are doing. And Corretta and Betty are absolutely crying at the way black women are acting!
For one I wouldn't come to LA wearing several huge VVS Diamond chains around my neck, wouldn't come to LA flaunting money around. Eiht is a True OG & speaks facts we all should & could learn from. Because it ain't nothin but a Compton Thang Ggggyaaaah.
Show respect to some gang banging bums who don't own nothing in their city or neighborhood.... ridiculous. White people don't need to check in.. It's so stupid.
Ioooonnn care what O. G EIHT SAY, IM FROM MINNESOTA, GROW UP IN FLORIDA AND IM GOING TO ROSCOES WHEN I GET TO 👑L. A👑 the same one PnB died at cause I love👑👑👑 LOS ANGELES 👑👑👑
Westside Gunn been in L.A plenty of times and he a Blood, one of the most Icey dripped rappers you ever done seen. I don't know if he tapped in or not, but he seems to be having no issues whenever he lands in the land. Then again, Gunn is one of smart ones too!
Amazing how a beard makes a man look completely different. I saw MC Eiht like a thousand times, and I couldn't tell right away it was him. Dude looking like Smack
The man could’ve been set up and told to go there by anyone claiming to be connected to that area for for all we know. I doubt he didn’t know his surroundings. His murder could have nothing to do with the people in that community so we need to stop making assumptions and dry snitching.
I've never been to LA, but if I did go. I would stick to Downtown LA, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Calabasas, Brentwood and coastal areas like Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Anywhere else would be a big no no.
The thing that’s often not spoke on when we discuss crime & communities who are known for poverty. Is Capitalism. Our Country is in late stage Capitalism. And our Citizens are a Reflection of our 1% ruling class structure
I was dealing with this Sista from Houston TX for a couple of years before I went back to the States to chill with her in Houston. We met over in Kuwait and dated and things of that nature. But once i knew I was going out to Houston to see her i got at a few catts I knew from my military days and catts I just knew through others sources. Yeah I had been dealing with Pretti Babi(that's what I would call her) for about 5 years I still wasn't trusting her in her own hometown so I checked in. Nothing wrong with letting catts know before you hut any place rather you a celebrity or just a regular Brotha as myself. Safety that's all and most of us Fellas usually going to a place to chill or meet some female. Or just being adventurous then if you don't know anyone stay your azz near your hotel and make sure you in a nice hotel
Bro I'm from Houston you was just being scary I promise you there is absolutely positively no reason for anybody to check in in Houston especially a regular dude who served in the military. That was just you being extra on your part not you trying to do what's right. Believe me nobody was worried about you.
Unless u got beef directly with somebody or u a celebrity clicked in with the wrong ppl. U have absolutely nothing to worry about in Houston... U was paranoid for no reason...
@@tmoneyy1516 Careful just careful. Paranoid means you will never go there and man I'm overseas seen wayy more vicious places in many countries around the world than the USA. You put all your trust in a woman in her hometown? Come on read again what I was saying
The south is different. Gangstas there will only gat yo ass if you fuck with they money. You don't fuck with anyones money you good. Don't snitch on nobody, don't deal on no ones corner (in fact just stay away from that shit fam) don't rob no one or test no one and generally people down there is cool as hell in my experience at least.
People on here talking about “I don’t gotta check in with nobody!”, you’re right you don’t. He is talking about rappers, gangsters etc and not civilians.
First & foremost, people make the mistake of not realizing that the East Coast/West Coast heat still simmers, percolates, & marinates, even though it ain't front-page news in 2022 -- so it's not the wisest decision for a kid from North Philly to be flossing, flexing, and/or posted up on the West Coast -- at the very least you gotsta be aware of your surroundings & keep your circle in check. Secondly, LA is a whole different world than Sac-Town, the Bay area, or San Diego -- gang culture runs deep & is far-reaching, whether you deep in the hoods of South Central or out in Hollywood or down in the Valley or up in the canyons or rolling thru LAX....errybody is either connected up, or affiliated with, or related to somebody who's down for their crown...Listen to the OGs & take heed.
Rappers need to have security! Make sure your security game is strong when you're traveling to ANY city! You got wolves in every city! Just be aware and take precautions!
BS , I'm a grown man and never have and never will " check in " with anyone when I travel. The only thing I'm checking into is a hotel and dinner reservation. This hood mentality shit needs to stop. Only black folks can come up with this goofy shit. Been following Eiht since 90 but no thanks I can't agree with that statement
These fools crazy. You should have to check in nowhere nobody owns the streets. What is wrong with our way of thinking that somebody got to acknowledge you when they come to a town. You're not the the mayor. This is just crazy ridiculous
Sad on all levels!! It's a fucking human right for people to go where ever they want to go!! Nobody should have to put up with this no fly zone bullshit!!!!
I’m from Chicago but California is just different, I don’t even wanna go no more I’m good off Cali y’all can keep that shit, I don’t want to go to the hood I’m already from the hood.
The problem is outta towners only think about Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Hollywood etc… when they think about Cali. When you leave those tourist areas and head into South Central you playing wit your life
