Nah he has always been wack as hell, in the streets he a certified goon. But as for a rapper he is dogshit. And did alot of commercial trash, also he was a bully. Two faced. Publicly he was Mr.Good samaritan but us in the know he was getting people deleted who wasn't having it from his massive ego and his bully older thug brother. He is a scumbag, no matter how much he did for children. He got alot of dudes taking dirtnaps. We from da Westcoast know truly who he really is. Especially his devil in the flesh older brother. And here you are glazing this scumbag as if he is da second coming of Christ. Knock it off homie and talk actual reality.
This is #HAMMER Letting the haters, critics, doubters, & rappers who dissing him for him being himself. And not being ashamed of you be who you are. But this also proves he could change with the times. Music was changing in the mid 90's at this time. Don't 4get Hammer was born & raised on the streets of East Oakland! Don't get it twisted & he was letting them know try me if you want too. And this album debuted 2# album in the country! And it stayed on the charts the whole year & went Platinum!
I loved hammer then and still do now, just enjoy seeing brothas and sistas doing our thing..I've got all his arsenio hall appearances recorded on vhs, lol. Love & Peace to all 💞
DAMN THAT BOY WAS BAD AF!!! With the BS allowed today...hip hop and r&b owes Hammer a straight up apology and give him some special recognition for blowing the door off mainstream hip hop so people can really get endorsements . Definitely a pioneer
I would give anything to have Hammer back compared to today's crappy music!!!! Back in his time you actually had to be talented to make it in the music industry. Not so much any more...
MC Hammer definitely is one of the best that ever came out and I'm from New York I appreciate you I love all that you've done give that man his flowers you know much respect M facts
Mc Hammer was the energy beast ...He brought something unique to the dance floor ...man ..i cant sit still ( mind you im almost 50 years old 😅) ...in 2022..His beats was out of this world ..
The HOOK for this song is the best: Now if a song that I drop hit the top cuz its pop, then it's like that and you dont stop! classic - Hammer don't hurt em.
hummer lo mejor tus letras gracias a sus bailarines y su diciplina para sus shows por muchos tiempo no existira alguien asi hasta un muerto se levanta mis bendiciones y respeto por hummer.
MC's music came out the same time exercise videos were popular. I did aerobics to his music everyday. I'm still surprised he never came out with his own exercise video. Hammer is not often mentioned when people are talking about Hip Hop....He is one of a kind! Don't Stop! :) peace
OMG I've been looking for this on here for the LONGEST! I still have it on VHS and still remember every last step to this dance but I don't have a converter (yet!) thank you so much for posting!
El tiene Instagram buscalo, yo lo tengo y hasta me a contestado mis commentaries. Yo vivo en el Sur de California y el en el Norte de California en Oakland.
Imperialtv1...I truly have to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this video! I have been searching for this performance for over 6 years,to no avail. THANKS YOU SO MUCH!!
I remember episode of Arsenio vividly at 11 years old. I dug this new Hammer, he realized the funky bright colors and genie pants weren't gonna fly in 93 and 94. ALL of Hip-Hop was dressing like this then, not just gangsta rappers. I think Hammer unfairly caught flack for updating his image and sound. Cause Hammer made a danceable West Coast G-Funk album. Nobody ever see's the brilliance in that.
Teddy Riley hooked him up with this.. As much as I liked looking at the Pumps And A Bump video, I agree with you. He should have found a style that fit him and mellowed like LL...
He tried the gangster act for a while. Realizing It didn't work, he just faded away in time. I love the genuine Hammer. The Christian Hammer who spoke for the truth and didn't compromise his beliefs for fame. Hammer's was and always is bad, and to me the baddest besides mike. When he was on fire he had it. I love the man no matter what because he's original. Bring dance back to rap please. That's whats missing now.
MC Hammer did bring hip hop to mainstream audiences(well, both him and Vanilla Ice did... bringing "clean-cut" hip-hop to White audiences)....but Eminem gave back more to hip hop than they ever did, and he still does to this day. He did it without having to "sellout" by quickly changing his style too. On MC Hammer's 1995 album, "Inside Out"...he does drop the gangster act and goes back to being the old MC Hammer, but by then it was too late. The album didn't sell very well and the masses have moved on to other rappers by then. Hip hop was evolving and he became an afterthought. A year later he'd become bankrupt and lose his mansion.
@@chriso8193 so....Hammer was supposed to wear sequined baggy pants from now on? I still say there's nothing wrong with a GOOD wardrobe change. I DO, however, concede that trying to be something you aren't is indeed "selling out", I just don't think he was trying to change TOO much of himself Unlike OTHER M.C.s I know (remember when Doug E. Fresh tried to dress like Hammer?! Yuck...), I believe Hammer just wanted to try something new. Ultimately I didn't work.
some will say im nutz but this is my favorite hammer song and his best performance,is hammer a thug no but these yong fools on the mike aren't thugs,at least hammer never said he was a gangster
Dude tried to act "hardcore" and "from the hood" when his Funky Headhunter album came out in 1994... when he wasn't like this in '90 and '91. Wasn't even a slow transition. He quickly traded in his dancing pants for beanies and football jerseys!😂🤣
This man wasn't truly appreciated in the mid 90's people dissed him cos he was treading on their territory! Hammer should release modern mixes of these hits just like how K Klass did with Bobby Browns Two can play that game! Hammers Dope!
