I think his scale is perfect for me personally. Consider that realistically he’d have to support the weight of Batman on his back choking him when he flies while having the strength to flap his wings at the same time. So he’d have to be an absolute monster and less a slightly bigger frame than Batman.
I could've swore the wings were going to be a malleable plastic. Guess just looking at the promo pics, that's what I assumed. I really hope instead of giving us better versions, we get an accessory pack for Clayface & Man-Bat. Then we can have some constructs and detachable splayed out wings & grasping hands. That is, if Man-Bat's arms can be somewhat easily popped out.
Don’t think that would work as Clayfaces hands and Man-Bats arms don’t pop out. I know you can heat them up, but they wouldn’t expect the general public to use hot water to swap parts.
My goal is to use this figure to create a more.....dynamic looking werewolf figure. Still like it for what it is but I think the shilloutte would lend itself perfectly for a werewolf if i can remove the under wings and find a suitable replacement head. I think the scale would lend itself very well, especially to a more traditional 1/12 scale
I like how you use Ray Stanz as the scientist..and those diorama set ups are amazing..Im collecting most of these McF Megafigs, though some I dont need, but they're such a deal for their retail price, I even got my 2nd Swamp Thing w/ Antlers for $32 in Amazon.
Absolutely one of the best DC multiverse figures top 5 easily. ... This figure could easily be a Build a figure.. And I love Todd has gone back to comic art for collectors card. I hated the actin figure pictures... A definite pick up! 👍
@@dHuntersReviews I do collect marvel legends too and I think the marvel team could learn a thing or two from Mcfarlane on the superb sculpts and heck of more paint apps than what the marvel legends figures we are getting currently... Look at the merciless, Martian manhunter, demon etrigan and man bat to name a few.. Fantastic!
I don't know if there will be the possibility of a mutant Cheetah like the one seen in WONDER WOMAN BLOODLINE or another one from the EARTH DEATH comic... well, if one of those isn't in the plans, I'll settle for some version of DOONSDAY
Gorgeous figure, but between NECA and McFarlane it seems like we can't catch a break with winged characters (even if they have the opposite problem from each other). Also, I love that Dr. Langstrom is played by Dan Aykroyd in your collection!
I'm sure it's accurate to the Rebirth storyline, but I wonder what's up with the asymmetrical teeth. Not just that the fangs are different shapes and sizes, but his upper jaw is malformed, leaning towards the left and downward.
He been in my Walmart for bout 3 months now keep passing him up I do want him, just been tryna make room lol plus my Blackest Night BAF set is on the way soon so I definitely need room for them.
I guess I don't know what people want... Man-Bat has wings that are too small, can't replicate a flying pose... Goliath has huge expansive flying wings, which are too big to fit on a shelf. I mean, if you're dead set determined that every flying winged character either needs two sets of wings, or articulated wings, then a 50 or 60 dollar price tag should be expected with that, right? A 25 or 30 dollar price tag HAS to come with some shortcuts, and personally, I like this execution better than Goliath's. I get that that's a personal opinion, but as I'm seeing others share every they like or not, I'm not seeing many "concessions to reality" being acknowledged. You're not getting a boutique figure at mass market prices, adjust your expectations.
@@dHuntersReviews yes, the cost would be higher than it is to get more complex wings, but that's still only half of my point. If Goliath's wings are too big and ponderous, Man-Bat is an even larger figure so it would stand to reason his extended wings would be both larger and heavier... triggering all those complaints about Goliath and then some. So even if we got a 60 dollar Man-Bat with swappable extended wings, would people actually want that? Please understand I'm not directing g this at you personally, I'm seeing a lot of commentary having a similar lamentation. Except, I don't see a scenario whet we'd be substantially more satisfied than we are with this figure at this price point. As a community, I think a lot of fans get "pie the sky" dreams of a perfect figure without really thinking through the practical application of what that would mean in terms of financial cost, potentiql engineering mishaps, shelf space, etc... dreaming is one thing, acknowledging reality is something else.
I thought the Goliath looks great and wouldn't have minded the difficulties with posing manbat, I had to figure out a way to get my Dark knight returns build a fig horse to stand on 2 legs. But the average person buying these would want easy to pose on the shelf figs.
Another great review, D. You've been on a roll lately. No doubt Man-Bat is an awesome looking figure, but I have passed on picking him up so far. The lack of proper wings so he can't hit a flying pose is a real problem for me. Also he is a little too big, and giving him two fists and no wrist joints is an odd choice as well. I may pick him up in the future, but for now I can't convince myself to drop the $40 on him.
Holy cow when i ask you how many figures you have? Your only answer is "all"🤣🙈 thats why i like your Videos when you compare your figures , then with all existing Figures.
I use a little quick shine floor luster and a q tip to lightly slowly coat the joints. Just work the joint a bit as it dries and if it is still lose repeat.
Most toy companies love to milk a mold, so McFarlane could redo this figure with fully extended wings and open clawed hands. Since he doesn’t like to include accessories that much with his figures. But being the asshole that he is, he probably won’t listen to fan feedback and do a variant the one time when he should do a variant 😒🤨😒🤨
Really Todd A flying character with NO functioning wings and almost no upwards head movement?... this is why i abandoned Mcfarlane, not to mention their atrocious scaling, how is Clayface smaller than Man-Bat?..ridiculous.
