As most people know, most cancer patients die from starvation because they lose their ability to swallow and their digestive system begins to shut down. My late 1st wife died from female cancer in 2009. She was in hospice where they are loath to use feeding tubes. I was with her almost 24/7. When she lost her ability to swallow I would give her water in tiny amounts with an eyedropper or with small chips of ice. I mixed MCT oil with CoQ10 and when the staff was out of the room I would feed her with the MCT oil/CoQ10 mixture with an eyedropper. The amounts had to be very small or she would choke. This gave her a big boost in energy and she craved these feedings. The hospice staff (especially the doctors) became impatient with her prolonged life. She lingered for many weeks past her normal expected death. You may say that I was just prolonging her agony. Not so, she appreciated her extra weeks of life.
I’m sure that meant a lot to her and she loved everyday beside you regardless how she felt. I know if my husband did this I would be so appreciative to have more time with him and knowing he truly loved me and never left my side. I think it was a very loving thing to do for your wife.

@@stevenkyle2313 PEMDAS is the worst thing to teach kids because they incorrectly do them in order (multiply, then divide, then add, then subtract). It should be PE(MD)(AS). You do multiply and divide together left to right, then add and subtract together left to right. Every social media math problem uses this teaching failure to stump all the poorly educated folks who had public American education.
Thanks for the lesson. I have been using MCT oil for over 4 months now I just added it to my normal grocery bill. I have Hypothyroidism, Obesity, Pre-Diabetes and the oil helps with brain fog, satiety , weight loss and help reshape my body. About few months ago, I gave up starches and sugar and I used to have bad cravings but soon as I begun taking 2Tbs of MCT oil everyday in my ACV or green tea all symptoms disappear. My HgbA1c and glucose reading improve to the point that my Endocrinologist and Family doctor asked me what I was doing. I did not tell them because I have realized conventional doctors are not giving me what I need to fix my myriad of health issues. I have forgotten to also mention because of giving up starches, sugar and taking MCT Oil I don’t have to take the medication Lyrica ( 4 tabs a day) anymore for Nerve pain in hands and feet. Keep up the good work you and others in providing comprehensive information for us to have choices to try diverse alternatives. .
Just wanted to give you heartfelt thanks for this. I started Keto a month ago not so much for weight loss but for general health and well-being. I was skeptical at first about adding MCT oil to my butter coffee, but I couldn’t figure out WHY I felt more energized and focused after only ONE cup of coffee (used to drink 4). I also love the whiteboard talks - they are a great way to review things I learned in biology and chemistry classes in college. I was like, "Glycerol molecules, micelles, lipase....oh yeah, I remember now".
I prefer Dr. Ken Berry. Dr. Berg seemed off to me but who am I, right? Nobody. And he seemed to be helping so many people. So I didn’t think much of it until it came to light that he’s deep into the church of Scientology and a large portion of the proceeds from his overpriced supplements go to that Church. Then when I saw the way he treated his own son, I thought: so that’s why Berg set off my spidey senses. But to each his own. He’s not forcing his beliefs on his audience and he is free to worship wherever he wants. I guess it all boils down to whether people are willing to make purchases that benefit a “church” that has traumatized so many.

The best Mct oil is the bulletproof brand brain octane oil. I tried a few different varieties of mct and I could definitely tell the difference. When you take the brain octane oil I am sure I can instantaneously feel the MCTs taking effect and I have the most amazing clarity of thought and stamina for the rest of the day.

Jon Lundy I have been trying this woe since July. Not much weight loss but I'm down inches and clothes feel a lot better. I also am beginning to see the hint of a six pack which I haven't seen since high school

@Netball Friends Chiropractors and naturopaths courses study more on nutrition than MD courses. A doctorate is a level of degree not just for the physicians ( medical doctors) . The proper doctorate degrees were PhD which entailed research.

Great video. Something I'd add, with regards to the number of carbons in the MCT oil you choose. There's C8, C10 and C12. C8 gives the most energy and has been shown to be the most useful type. C10 is the anti fungal and the worst of the 3 in terms of side effects and use. C12 is the anti microbial and good for the immune system and can help with fat like C8. But if you want energy to exercise efficiently whilst on the keto diet, pure C8 MCT oil is your friend, and has no taste. You only need 1/2 a tlbs I believe, it can give an upset stomach if over done. Can mix with coffee, I mix with green tea whilst cutting and on keto.

I really had low hopes for this. I am very happy i watched this. This wasn't a simple list of benefits with no explanations as to why or how. This was one benefit (energy production) with plenty of information to explain why and how. I would love to see a video from you on how MCT oils are good for exterminating parasites, fungi and other harmful organisms. Also how it positively effects the colon or entire digestive tract. What are "short chain fatty acids", and what are sources of scfa, and how are scfa metabolized, and are they better than MCTs? LCT are bad. MCTs are good. Are SCFAs best or better?
Hey Thomas, I’ve noticed taking mct oil works immediately-improve brain function, focus, even anxiety. Just curious does mct oil only react to short term, meaning only when you take it immediately effecting the body right away. Or is it like fish oil which can have long lasting health benefits over many months and years?

Question: I have 2 bigs issues since I am on the ketogenic diet: first is a very bad constipation. Nothing seem’s to work. I almost hope that I will react to MCT 😉 my other concern is that I have alot of hot flashes since I started the diet. Any suggestions?
