MDMA is a stimulant with strong entactogen effects. Unlike regular stimulants, a key aspect of entactogens is their impact on emotions and their ability to enhance "inner awareness," which gives them a wide array of applications.
It's the most popular entactogen by far. MDMA has shown promise in psychotherapy, particularly in the treatment of PTSD, though it's most often used in recreational settings.
The substance is heavily associated with music events, but it's also taken at house parties, in small social gatherings, and with friends or partners.
Since the MDMA market is affected by adulterants, drug checking is vital.

MDMA for me is like pressing the reset button. I use it maybe once or twice a year and it just rejuvenates me from the inside out. It gets rid of any bad baggage I've been carrying with me for awhile. It's not meant to be used recreationally , but sparingly.

The general consensus among frequent users is minimum once a month. Although I believe this is not long enough by a long shot. It takes longer than a month to replenish serotonin, even if supplementing with 5-htp. The other issue that very few seem to know about is down regulation of serotonin receptors because of over antagonism of serotonin receptor sites. This causes receptors to die off and leave only a few active. This can lead to long term depression and substantial loss of joy from everyday events. It can take years to grow back serotonin receptors once they have died off. There are also links to degenerative brain diseases like alzheimers and early onset dimentia.

kili koli no, you do not want to do that long term. It depletes serotonin vesicles even in small amounts and is neurotoxic. LSD or psilocybin is a much better choice for microdosing. Mdma is a methamphetamine analog, so it’s inherently dangerous to use everyday long term

You should find a way to get something out of the positive experience (that's why in a medical setting it is used alongside psychotherapy). The drug could help you make significant connections with other people that last also outside of the effect for example.

Its much simpler now knowing that what most people want including yourself is to be listened to and shown compassion and understanding. I still have social anxiety but i would say it is even less than half as bad as it used to be.

Honestly, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful drugs the earth has given us. The feelings of well being, calmness and just general contentment are unmatched by anything else. The only reason I don't take it any more is I can't trust it to be the real thing. If people were taking mdma instead of alcohol, the world would be a much nicer place.

I am a person with very strong ADHD (I was writing my diploma thesis and somehow became educated about methamphetamine use and actual effects in the past two hours) and when I took this stuff (MDMA), it made me super-concentrated to the point where I was able to learn several pages in few minutes, visualizing them as geometric shapes in my head. I had no urge to dance, walk or anything.

i have adhd too but it makes me very energenic and i love music so it made me dance, but on comedown its not bad for me, it really calm and relaxing and i feel at peace with myself. but at end of the day, everyone is different and drugs effect everyone differently.

IIRC, it was found in a lab also producing controlled substances and they reasoned that if ADAM was there, too, it should also be banned. It didn't go much deeper than that.

Take a sedative if you want to sleep or a stimulant if you want to stay up. Going to a party? Take a pill for that, too. A few decades later.. "Ecstasy can KILL YOU the first time you try it".

I hallucinated after 4 pills 2 to start and 2 after it hit me after 30 minutes if the second 2 pills I was Tripping balls man When I took 200 micrograms LSD the trip wasn't so intense but after around 800mg of Ecstasy I was Tripping nuts it was my 5th strongest trip

@@quincyloogs1421 It's possible but my E is pure. It really depends on your body one time I waited for 1,45 minutes to kick in But I was full from food. I buy the same pills from the same Dealer who is my friend. Only one time it hited me bellow 40 min and it was not literally 30 more like 37 at most times it hits me at 40-50 minutes when I ate before that 50-70 I puke when Meth or Regular Amphetamines are in my body but when it's MDMA I don't. Don't have explanation tho

You said to avoid hot settings, but you should definitely avoid too cold settings as well! MDMA messes up body's thermoregulation system and it can go both ways.

That's true euphoria plus im a grown ass working man and a functioning opi addict and alcoholic of 10 years. I work better on low to moderate doses of oxy or poppy seed tea, on high doses with hash I'm where I wanna be and I'll finish the night off with a MXD cocktail 12%..opioids arent neurotoxic either. None of that sparkling "durr I love the world so much" and the next month cry about life. Ecstacy is for girls and young boys, I am a blue collar worker and a man. I like opiates, I like alcohol, i like guns and I like the woods. I despise sparkly festivals, hippies and hipsters and that fairytale BS that is the entire scene of this drug

Great video! So the DEA's original reason for schedule 1 was that no long term effects were known. Now, 32 years later, there are people who have been using it for 30+ years without the 'long term effects' negating all their original claims. Sure mdma will lead to long term problems if abused, but that is the case for many other substances as well. If you only use it occasionally and at the recommended dosage I don't see much harm to it. Personally the drug helped me give some insight and it got me into understanding the power of psychedelics. Really hope they will revisit scheduling, it should at least be possible to use in therapeutic sessions, but ideally also available for recreational use to avoid people taking fake pills.

Just a quick help here 🙏🏻 Watch out for “overdrinking” your body, when on mdma makes the hormone ADH. Which makes the smaller blood vessels constricted. That is the whole reason why you can’t go to the toilet. So watch out with drinking. It can lead to kidney failure, etc. Same thing goes with overheating. Keep yourself in check and all should be fine. If someone is going “to hard”give them some simple dextrose (fast acting sugar). Don’t let them drink to much! And keep an eye on them. Next off: always test your stuff! IF YOU ARE ON A SSRI NEVER TAKE MDMA Cheers hope someone reads this

Sasha Shulgin is my hero, that man lived the kind of life that I really aspire to, research chemist, and had a fully equipped lab down the back of his property, in an old wooden shack. That lab was a paradise. He had discovered, invented many synthetic compounds, made them and tasted them in his lab, made extensive notes about them, he wrote two books about all the substances he has known and loved, they are essential reading for those inclined to that kind of thing, they are like bibles to me.

You did a great job describing a substance that noone can until they try it. It's very common for people to "cacoon" after taking pure MDMA and just want to stick to themselves and do their own thing. Also quite misleading calling mdma and ecstasy the same thing. 75%+ of pressed pills have amphetamine in them. Would've liked to hear you speak about 5-htp and its benefits prior as well as post mdma use.

Good video: factual, honest, to the point. I will probably refer to this occasionally on r/MDMA in the future :) A few thoughts though: While the onset is usually 30-60 minutes indeed, up to 90 or even 120 minutes is not unheard of and at least somewhat common. And maybe you could have stressed the importance of a low frequency of use more, and added that you can not circumvent this fact by simply dosing lower due to the indirect mode of action of the drug (i.e. any active dose warrants a reasonable break afterwards).

Thanks for the feedback. As a primary reason for the longer break is due to potential neurotoxicity/neuroadaptations, I had to discuss that issue elsewhere. Though I did include a mention in this video that "You should avoid taking it more than every 3 months." I've also added a mention about the longer onset time to the corresponding website page.

MistakenMystery So don't use it too often. Mushrooms and MDMA really don't compare. Using mushrooms to often could potentially mess up your psyche. I'd say MDMA once every 2-3 months, mushrooms or LSD once every month at max unless it's small doses. Even though exceptions now and then are usually not a problem with either.

I do believe X is not good for the brain. Doing heavy tripping doses of MDA or close analogs they were making late 70s early 80s I do think hurt my nervous system. I have never had a comedown on MDMA, I tend to feel better after taking it. I don't really take it that often anymore but I used to take it a lot at parties and random events, I personally think it is such a therapeutic drug. I have afterglows and don't find it difficult to sleep at all.

In the UK the price for pills is £10 and common deals are 2 for £15 3 for £25 and 4 for £25 and the price for MDMA crystals often called Mandy is most commonly sold £30 a gram but prices go as low as £15 a gram if your interested.

I take pretty high doses regularly of mdma and have since i was 15 ( I am 25 now), and im honestly at the point I can't feel emotions much anymore. I used to take a ton of my parents Tremodol growing up as well. I feel pretty ok most days but some days are very dark. I find it hard to even stop mdma let alone the blow I do.. I can't stress this enough ... moderation is key....

you forgot that sometimes you cant wee and its the most annoying thing I've ever had to deal with in my life, you feel like your on the edge of pissing but when you go to the toilet nothing comes out as much as you try. i went to the toilet over 20 times in a 4 hour period and mate i tried everything, standing up to wee, sitting down, but when it finally comes out its the best feeling on this planet. being able to wee is such a underrated thing.

I found when you first use hydrocodone in liquid form it’s has a similar effect of improved mood, increased self-confidence and at ease but it does have a amphetamine like effect but not as speedy.

MDMA is very similar in a strange way to Pregabalin without the side effects. The only difference is it usually gives you more mental simulation with extreme relaxation (Pregabalin) rather than physical (MDMA).

Whether harm-reduction or zero-tolerance, I can't find any article online documenting the experience I had: 45 minutes of depression-a feeling of complete anhedonia and alienation from society-and then back to normal. And after having a similar experience with zoloft for a six-week trial, I'm convinced I'm reverse-wired for serotonin re-uptake inhibitors. Nobody talks about this. It must be rare.

The simplest way to make MDMA, MDA, and MDEA is by taking pure safrole [methylenedioxy-phenylpropene] (commonly, and abundantly found in sassafrass oil) then adding hydrobromic acid. This adds a bromine onto the lower class double bond and a hydrogen on the end of the branch. Once you do this you can add ammonia (I also found that potassium iodide with hexamine should work too) for MDA (Methylenedioxy-amphetamine), methylamine for MDMA (methylenedioxy-methamphetamine), and Ethylamine for MDEA (methylenedioxy-ethylamphetamine). Perhaps you could even add diethylamine for a theoretical drug which I name MDDEA (Methylenedioxy-Diethylamphetamine) which is a similar structure to DEET so I don't actually know if it would be safe to ingest. This reaction type probably can work for any phenylpropene such as elemicin, myristicin, and phenylpropene itself. The reaction with normal base structure phenylpropene likely could make amphetamine (when adding ammonia) and methamphetamine (when adding methylamine). The reaction type with elemicin would make something with a similar structure to mescaline but actually an amphetamine. Myristicin would make a structure similar to MDMA but with a methoxy- group on the bottom of the phenyl ring.

The pseudo synthesis could be significantly easier, but cutting down pseudo availability did have a large effect on american based meth labs.

I've had some mental momentary trips while rolling. For example, my friend found me in a club and told me that she'd just been elbowed in the face by someone (accidentally). And when I looked up, her face seemed to have just explode from her lips and blood was everywhere. I blinked once and it was gone. And often, I'll see someone from a distance, who has a barely similar appearance to a friend and I will be convinced it was my friend, until I blink. I once saw a flock of birds fly through a club. Everyone who was wearing black appeared as a door man. It's absolutely nothing like an acid trip, it's literally just something being replaced or added, and then immediately gone after I blink. It's weird

I remember one time I was coming down and I went to lay in bed and I started scrolling on Instagram and when I turned my head, my phone and arm disappeared. No he didnt do salts, I'm telling u high doses of MDA/MDMA will make u see shit and talk to folks not there. I'm speaking from experience from the pure powder we got 79 -83 or so. Many times I saw crazy shot and talked to imaginary characters. If u took a full quarter gram of that shit u had better have been on a couch. Love drug?, I could hardly find my dick to piss, and had to get on my knees to do that. A quarter made the arches of my feet draw up and I could hardly walk, a buddy was talking to me and he turned into one of those 8 arm Hindu gods. I've done 1000 micro trips on LSD many times and never had to vivid hallucinations like the brown and white MDA from 79 to 83

I have seen on Reddit people relate their experience that combining MDMA with Piracetam or Noopept has meant that they either have a stronger experience or a similar experience using a lower dosage of MDMA. I've used MDMA 10 times or so. And the last half of the times i barely felt anything (the pills was good). So i waited 2 months for the tolerance to go down and tried again, again felt nothing (felt stimulated but not much more). So my question is, is there anything i can do to get rid of my tolerance or to boost the MDMA effect (without taking more, since i dont want to be to stimulated)? Or are there any drugs i can use instead of MDMA with similair effects? Right now it's been over 2 months since i last took it and i will wait atleast 2 months more until trying again, if i don't get effects after that, will that mean im broken for ever?

How were the pills tested? And it'd be odd to have "permanent" tolerance appear from just 10 uses. How often were you taking it? I wouldn't continue using MDMA if it's not giving you the typical effects. You could try a drug like 6-APB once to see if it gives you the expected effects. For getting rid of tolerance, that's not clear. We don't understand the exact mechanism for "permanent" tolerance, so it's difficult to say what you could do other than take longer breaks before testing it again.

Also we first bought a big batch and i tried them and it worked. but after a couple of times the same batch stopped working for me (but for my friends it still worked). and yes i probably took it to often in the begining. my first 3 times where in the same month. then i waited month and then used it maybe every two weeks. but pretty fast it stopped working. but i kept using since it, since at first thought it was the pills that was bad (at this time we used a different batch but we still had some of the old left which i lated tried again). i have a natural tolerance to all drugs ive tried. i always end up either using more than everyone else or just not feeling anything at all. i've thought about testing 6-apb, and i probably will end up testing it. but since it doesnt have much information about it i have waited to try it.

There could be a few factors at play. Are you taking any SSRI's? And were you taking it on an empty stomach or at the most a close to empty stomach or was it after eating? Food and SSRI's can both greatly diminish the bulk of MDMA's effects leaving just some sympathomimetic effects, like a bit of stimulation and jaw clenching.
