It makes sense for a bot like Soundwave to have a sonic blaster as a weapon.

Did we ever get a transformable toy for that? I don’t recall if we did. If we didn’t, we should especially nowadays.

We kinda did. Matchbox made one for their 3 3/4" figure line but it just went from artillery mode to battroid and back, no hover tank mode.

@@katenunyabizness9221 That was it? Really disappointing. We should get an updated version that does all three modes. I mean they made it work for the Valkyrie and the Alpha, so it shouldn't have been too hard to try make it work with the tank.

Well, his robot mode here could be based on people whose body type is short torso with long legs. There are two other body types, the balanced type, and the type that has long torso with short legs. You can see it if you image search it.

Shockwave kinda has that same look. And he’s got massive thunder thighs

There is definitely a midsection however they blended it with his hips so it looks a bit off.

That's the thing, Cybertronians while (mostly) humanoid in appearance don't exactly share a 1:1 copy of the human nervous system... a scratch that would be a paper-cut for us is likely just ignored for them. Which isn't to say Cybertronians don't feel pain (they do), but I think it takes significantly more punishment for it to register; missing limbs, broken joints, anything that's sparking when it shouldn't be, etc. It may not be "paint" in the traditional sense, but their color is mostly cosmetic and just a random part of the Cybertronian birthing process (along with assignment of alt-mode and personality) Not to mention, in the middle of a planet-wide civil war it's understandable that everyone still alive would look disheveled

Like ifyou wnat ot give them battle damange it needs to be more thenjust paint scuffs which just looks weird, and like i said befor no ones gonna go around covered head to toe in scars, afew here and there but if oyur entore body isw missing skin in places your getting medical treatment not still fighting

I kind of always imagined most of what we see on the outside is analogous to a sort of "exo-skeleton" or carapace with them all having a sort of internal base skeleton with some slight variation. But otherwise yes I agree, if stuff is exposed that shouldn't be exposed they'd be going for repairs

Calling people pretentious for wanting their expensive transformers toy to transform (which is, you know, the main gimmick and name for the entire franchise) is kind of funny to me.

Non-transforming figures *ALWAYS* look better. Since they just have to engineer joints instead of a whole transformation. Not exactly a fair comparison. That said, not everyone wants the transforming functionality (especially since most of us just leave them in robot mode 90% of the time anyway) so it has a place in the market.
