For such a little-known soundtrack, this one's full of some fantastic pieces, and these covers have taken it up to 11! If you decide to do more, I'll be here waiting with baited breath.
Despite playing the DLCs for over a year now I recently found out that the DLC has its own sound track as well.... turns out there are a ton of other songs I haven't even suggested yet!
0:47 just breaks me. That section is so amazing, but the combination with the combat footage of the Atlas has me crying and sobbing like a child. I haven't felt a sense of awe like this in a very long time. You made an adult man cry tears of joy. Thank you.
You know... this adds a whole new take to what I thought was ordinary and mundane footage of me running around blasting things. I know Vincent is able to add life to the tracks and sync the video and audio while timing it perfectly but after reading what you had to say, I know the next time I record footage I am going to have a different mindset than "this is just for cool action shots for a song." I have so many fond memories as a kid playing MW2 that when I booted up an old computer and played it for the first time in well over a decade... probably two... it was good to be able to run around again reliving those childhood missions. Thanks for sharing friend! I'll remember this in my next video capture session.
@@the_director_vinsanity The chassi is the AS7-D-Y, the Hero Atlas. The standard outfit runs an XL300 engine, has double heat sinks, 6 ballistic slots, 4 energy slots, 4 missile slots, and 2 AMS. It's not an official 'mech, but a custom one found in the mod YAML.
@@kodain You are correct. When it comes to the Atlas I find a certain satisfaction in just walking up to things with a huge array of weapons and going 'blap' to end a fight.
I've probably played this over 50 times with my lance in Mech5 and it's never old or stale. It's the perfect cover to convey the raw power and might of these war machines, I need more
This track was never high on my list of jams but that changed today! Can't wait to see which banger you knock out next! Keep on stomping! Also glad to see I fixed the footage problem too! I started a new play through so maybe I can get some cool shots of smaller mechs!
Thank goodness there's a cover out now. On the original track, about a minute in, the drums go out of sync with the rest of the arrangement, and stay like that for the rest of the breakdown. It's maddening when you finally hear it and you will never be able to not notice it. Otherwise, it's one of the best songs on the soundtrack, and your version shows that.
I am new to the MechWarrior, Battletech entries and fell in love with both MechWarrior 5 and this song. I did not expected to see such an amazing cover, and I’m in awe with your work. Thank you!
Every time I get home from work, see Vincent uploaded a new video, and see it's a metal remix of a MechWarrior 5 track.. I'm like a kid on Christmas. And the in-game footage just tops it all off, like a nice bow.
YES!!! He finally did thanks so much Vincent this is my favorite jam when playing the game heard this track and immediately fell in love with the ost hearing you metalize it is the absolute greatest ❤️ Also thanks for just covering mechwarrior in general
I hit "like" and "download" before I heard the first note. This fucking slaps. Holllllyyyyy. Wish I could have put this one in my "MechAssault Rock Mix" .... Next time!!
If THIS is what it takes to get more people back into Battletech again and maybe give the entire franchise new life again in this new era.. You can bet your ass my arms are wide open to welcome it.
Why does this sound like a fucking final boss variant of COTOB?! Why does this shit hit like a goddamn Atlas Punch?! IDGAF THIS IS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! Picture this right, you're a Merc Commander, not Mason, and you fucking run into Mason and his crew being eviscerated by Steiner or Kurita or Marik forces (or whoever you don't like), and you and your Lance come in and clean fucking HOUSE for Mason and his lot, before befriending him and working with him on contracts together Ngl I'd fucking LOVE that, or something similar
Ngl, this cover is good in places, but kinda weak in others. There’s elements left out starting at 0:48 that actually made the original as good as it is. There should be single notes *on top* of the held notes, but they’re just not there in this cover, and it’s disappointing.
