Easily my favorite track in the game. Got the Battletech feel to it, and it feels like the proper sound for the cavalry riding in. The 60 foot tall, 80 ton cavalry.
First time Playing MechWarrior 5 and this suddenly plays on the mission where you get your first Co-Mechwarrior, I was failing the mission but i got through coz o dis hehd
Picture it, your entire Lance has been wiped out by invading Steiner forces, you're the only Mech left defending the city, no Turret, Tank or Air Support, you've got a Commando, Centurion, Archer and Atlas bearing down on your people, but still you stand and fight, and as the first major best kicks in, you truely start to fight, you blast the Commando from existence, seconds later Cockpit the already damaged Centurion, and begin to charge the Archer in a last ditch effort to save your people Then, as the song loops, and said beat blasts back in again, your people have had enough, and they stand up and FIGHT, and you see missiles, bullets, all sorts being fired at the Archer, and then it inevitably falls to your Burst Fire Finally, you and the Atlas come face to face, both damaged, both running low on Ammo, and both determined to see this through, however, you come out the victor after landing a precise burst to his crippled legs, finishing him, before walking up to the cockpit, and blasting the unejected pilot to send a message to House Steiner And hence, a new Hero Mech was born, the Urbanmech LS, shortened to "Last Stand"
I actually use most of these combat tracks for DMing my Mechwarrior/Battletech tabletop sessions. The tracks work really well for getting the players amped up.
@@vaskil99 hey man, where do you find the rules and everything? I've been dreaming to run a battletech campaign for my friends via tabletop sim. Are there suitable tables? Battlemats? What do you use?
I love this song, especially because you can almost imagine a music video for it. Just a taste of the first section: Commander reminiscing about his training days. Fade into his father’s Victor leading an assault lance in combat against Black Inferno. Mid-carnage, the Victor takes a hard glancing hit to the cockpit, ripping the front off and revealing the Commander within, looking so much like his father in his prime.
Omfg YES, SOMEONE needs to make a fucking music vid for each of the MW5 songs, Judgement and Retribution being about Revenge and Karma and shit, this one being about the Cavalry comin in to save people's asses FUCK this is a good song! Edit: forgot to mention the Victor is my favourite Mech too, the one with Machine Gun Nips is a fucking PERFECT Brawler Mech!
@@gamester512bro the BATTLEMASTER, truely a Battlemech that EARNS it's title and bragging rights! SUCH a good Battlemech, I particularly enjoy the Melee Battlemaster specced for CQC Combat Lasers, give it some upgrades to improve Speed and you've got yourself a KILLER Battlemech if used in a coordinated Lance!
@@halooverlord6961 I love to just load mine up with a ton of Medium Lasers and just Alphastrike entire sections of an enemy 'Mech to nothing. That also makes my Battlemaster quite deadly even to Lights and Mediums that might otherwise be a bit too hard to hit, as even a lucky hit could cripple or destroy a Light 'Mech outright, and will likely leave a Medium in extremely bad shape. I've even gotten fairly good and consistent at scoring headshots on stuff like the Victor, Atlas, Thunderbolt, Hunchback, Phoenix Hawk, etc. as an additional benefit. On a few occasions I've even scored headshot kills on a King Crab with my Battlemaster.
@@gamester512 yeah the Medium Laser in MW5 is near useless on its own, *unstoppable* when used en mass Mind you, they're fucking TERRIFYING in the Paradox game *Battletech*, but that's quite an efficient Build, Lasers have always been solid for Headshots but have you ever noticed that the larger the Laser, the harder the Headshot? Like the game treats it like a larger projectile hence a Large Laser usually gets dragged down to being a CT Shot but Mediums and Smalls seem relatively consistent on headshots
Or the Nightstar. Nikolai's old 'Mech and apparent "gift" to his son form beyond the grave walking into view and immediately tearing into the enemies with it's Gauss & Lasers. The Nightstar can hit like a freaking dumptruck full of lead if built right. I play modded, but mine has 2 HAG/20s and 5 MP Lasers. Let that thing catch sight of you and it's going to *_HURT_* when those HAGs & MP Lasers start tearing through your 'Mech. :)
Ryanna: Looks like we're cut off and heavily outnumbered, What are we going to do commander? Mason: Let's show them who they are messing with *spools up Gauss Rifle*
Nothing like a bit of lead guitar as you finish off the round with a full salvo into your final target and then overheat. Fuck I wish this franchise was doing better.
@@vaskil99 The real hook is in fine-tuning your wrathful steel god into an unstoppable engine of destruction. That’s why I love the YAML, YAW, YAW Clan, and Reloaded mods to death.
@@vaskil99 I've managed to introduce several of my friends to the game, within said hour, got one of my better mates from an old Star Wars Battlefront II Clan basically addicted to it, the game just needs the right presenter and person to show off the game Fuckin epic game, and it feels SOOO good and immersive when you can get three friends and strategically rip apart an enemy Lance or Assasination Target, one of the best feelings a gamer can get!
@@halooverlord6961 Right on! Spread the good word! I have gotten 2 friends interested but they don't like to play it much. I can only imagine what a full lance of experienced players can do. It's a totally underrated experience.
@@vaskil99 if you're an Xbox Gamer perhaps we can hop in a party and blast some Liao scum, I'm always lookin for new peeps the play the game with, plus it's not every day you get to say you got to play a game with a RU-vidr 😂
1:03 to 1:18 there's percussion in the left channel only that really sounds like it shouldn't be there and was left in accidentally, but it seems to be in every version of the song I can find.
*keys the ignition sequence and starts up my 60 tonne dragon DRG, along with a balanced centi a rifleman DNA, and a balanced atlas* whelp, time to go make the chimi-fu-*duck quacking sounds*-changas
Everytime I hear this I just put myself back to many different memories of piloting things like Atlases, Victors, Highlanders, Stalkers, even light Mechs like the Commandos and the Locusts, Heavies like the Marauder, Warhammer and Orion (Onion lol) and Mediums like the reliable Hunchbacks and Centurions Proof that this game has MASSIVE potential, but that Piranha Games are too fucking moronic or lazy, or whatever the fuck it is that keeps them from fleshing it out further or making a sequel announcement, or literally ANYTHING that would IMMEDIATELY interest THOUSANDS If anyone can make a mod, or a sequel, or SOMETHING to do with this game, where you go through some sort of Career style campaign or game mode where you start out in a Tank or as an Infantry, and work your way up to Commanding ENOURMOUS battles, I think the Battletech Community would be in your debt
So in-game there is another version of this track that plays. They are ALMOST the same except for the awesome riff that plays at 0:47, which is FOR SOME INEXPLICABLE REASON DIFFERENT from the one playing in-game! It's so frustrating!
Agree. The ingame version is more drawn out, and more, for a lack of a better word, heroic. I cant seem to find it anywhere. Its much better than this version.
I was able to try out the VRWARRIOR mod for MechWarrior 5 and just as luck would have it, this song played in my test Instant Action. Bad. Ass. 10/10 Atlas vs everyone music.
This is off of the official MW5 sound track, completed, not broken up, lowered for voice over chat. The main theme and what we get in the game menu are completely different as well.
